Luckily my side of town was missed completely but I saw what happened when I went out today...trees ripped up, houses crushed under huge trees. Amazing that this happened and no one was seriously hurt!

Anyway, arrived home last night from 7 wonderful nights at the YC. We got "bumped up" to waterview rooms 3084 & 3086! Everything was perfect! Any questions??

Hi there ~ welcome home (sorry about the tornado)

I would like to know how the bus transportation was to the parks (MK, DAK) also did you have trouble getting chairs at the pool? Were wristbands being issued?

Thanx!

>>^..^<<

Wow!!! What a welcome home!!

My Grandmother lives in Morris Plains. Is that close to you??? I will have to give her a call tonight and see how she is doing.

welcome back to NJ- what was your view like?

Tracey - I am glad that you are okay! My parents live in Millington and still didn't have power last night. My mom said that Spring Ridge was hit pretty hard. Glad you had a great time - did you eat at Beaches & Cream?:D

>>^..^<< Transportation was fine. The buses got a little crowded but people always got up so the little ones could sit. There was always 2 or 3 buses showing up for MK every time we were there. The pool was great--we always got seats no matter what time of day we showed up! They were distributing wrist bands and were checking everyone as they went to Hurricane Hanna's etc.

Momof2boys - Morris Plains is about 20 minutes from Basking Ridge. They didn't get hit too hard. Bernards Township (Basking Ridge) & Belmar got hit the hardest!

Dlyansdad - we were on the third floor over looking the quiet pool. I really enjoyed this location. We were very close to the laundry (important to me!), the bridge to the Boardwalk and the quiet pool was sooo convenient when we got back late from the parks.

discraz - We didn't "commando" the parks so I may not the best person to answer this question, but... the parks were definitely full but we never waited long for any attraction. The longest thing we waited for was Pirates of the Caribbean in Disney Quest (30 min) we were the next group to go, and the attraction closed due to technical problems! We did E ride on Tues. 15th, it was great!

lalapodip - Was your M & D ok? I (tried) to drive thru Millington yesterday on my way to Shoprite in Stirling. But Valley Road was closed. I could not believe the damage! I didn't see Spring Ridge but the intersection of Valley and King George Rds was awful!! The trees we ripped right out of the ground! I felt like I was driving thru the movie--Twister. Now they are saying it was not a tornado, but it certainly looked like it was.

lalapodip-

We did eat at Beaches and Cream--twice!! We had lunch there two days, when a thunderstorm hit. We shared two sundae's between the six of us. My DD's begged us to order the Kitchen Sink, but it just looks so big! Maybe next time!

Hi, again, Tracey, yes, my Mom and Dad are fine, as is their house. Mom heard the same thing about the intersection of Valley & King George Rds. I can't imagine - it sounds surreal. The house across the street from them had two trees uprooted across the driveway. She said that the bank (Millington Savings) was on generators and had to close early! Very, very scary. She didn't mention Valley Rd. being closed - I wonder how my Dad got to work since his business is near ShopRite!

It is good to hear that the waits for the rides weren't too bad. Two weeks left for us to WAIT to go.....I can't wait to have lunch at Beaches and Cream.........:D
