Arrived eventually after a not so good start live Tr

Day 2
Today was our lazy day but it ended u being an expensive day . We bought into DVC:cool1: not the ones on offer though we bought Wilderness lodge villas .we upgraded our tickets to AP and with dvc discount paid $107 . i dnt understand how they work it out :confused3 we also bought TIW card . We had a visit to WLV to hv a look around. The second cheapest to buy next to SSr. We then went(attempted ) to get back to dtd and the bus broke down:laughing:Thts me all over. 55 mins on a bus. We knew then we would miss our ADR at raglan road as had to go back to okw to collect mom and charlotte.
When we got to dtd we had a mooch around phoned my mom and said we would grab some food from Earls.we had the soups as well cheese and a chicken noodle.well we decided to get the boat back and the guy put us on the wrong one!!!! So we had a trip to ssr and back. I can laugh now but was fuming. Wnt print what dave said:happytv:
Anyway we had an early night ready for our first day at epcot tomorrow.
Dizzy had a pool day yesterday and went and made a tye dye tshirt with charlotte.

Yikes what a start to your holiday. But hey you are in WDW so it can only get better.

I really enjoy the live trip reports, especially as it is another from OKW.

I will no doubt be plaguing everyone with lost of questions about this resort ;)

Feel free to ask anything. I hv taken pics of the one bedroom so will upoad them when i get home. Great location although i moaned when we got here. We bought at wilderness lodge but okw was our second choice though AKL is also gorgeous. We are going to book a week in a one bedroom here and a week in WlV in a studio aswe hv a years points which hv to b usedby june but we can bank them.
You will love it here. So relaxing.

Which tickets did you upgrade? 14 day Ultimates?
Was it basic AP?

Alyson you can write a chapter on your DTD adventures :rotfl:

By the way, for future reference, if you ever miss an ADR for similar reasons, just turn up anyway. We missed ours at 1900 PF when the monorail broke down and just turned up anyway. The ADR system is a bit strange so it's not really a time slot reservation. The previous term Priority Seating was far more accurate. They would have seated you anyway. Hope you ended up having something nice to eat. :goodvibes

And congrats on DVC! I love WL :thumbsup2

Loving your trip report,

We are going to OKW (only 278 days to go not that I'm counting) so looking forward to the pics from there, we are staying in a one bed villa.

Have fun :wizard:

It was the 14 day ultimate passes wayne to the normal AP. They only allowed us $339 for the uk tickets which is abt right i suppose. Just dnt understand why they charged us 107 for 2 adults and 119 for charlotte whos was also an adult ticket:confused3
Lee we ended up just having a combi. Went to lecellier today but wasnt impressed. Wnt be going back. Was great last year:confused3

The ultimate upgrade to AP seems to vary so much - I would never advise anyone to get the Ultimate with a view to upgrading.

We upgraded DD child 14 day to DVC normal AP and it cost $120 :scared1: She will get 3 trips out of it though fortunately.

From all the figures/posts I have seen on this its not a good deal if upgrading with DVC discount but others without DVC seem to get a far better deal, one here http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2808111

It didn't seem to matter when we upgraded the CM forgot to put it in as a DVC and when he asked me for over $200 I queried it and he said you are get $280 for the ticket and the new ticket was $500ish - I knew it was wrong so asked him what ticket he was doing - turns out it was a standard AP! Changed it but still messed up and I ended going back. Second time I have had ticket issues at City Hall - not using them again!

Strangely enough I've had issues at City Hall too. Whenever I need to do stuff regarding tickets I go to the CR spot at Epcot (or the little kiosk outside to the right of the turnstiles if it's a will call thing.)

Do tell more about your DVD buy. What month etc have you bought. Thinking of DVD for next year

wow - what an adventure so far!!

congrats on the DVC purchase!!!

now that you have APs, don't forget that you can get a 10% discount on just about everything on property - so whenever you make any purchase (pictures, merchandise, sports, tours, etc) be sure to ask for the discount..

you have the regular AP , not the premium, correct?

the regulat AP gets a 10% discount and the premium gets a 20% discount..

anyway, they won't ask you, so be sure to ask. most places offer the discount, but you have to ask..

Sorry abt the above post very diff to multi quote on this iphone.
Day 3. Epcot
My mom wasnt feeling too well today so we didnt leave till 10. Not a good idea. I hv NEVER seen it so busy. I also forgot my camera which annoyed me. Managed to get some pics taken with photo pass which seemed nice.i must say though hvnt seen many photographers at all. Perhaps im looking in the wrong place.
Nearly lost dizzy:scared1: to tigger and pooh in england. They kept walking out the doors with him:rotfl:Food was good in the UK but in lecellier it wasnt and i was so dissapointed as loved it there last year. So slow and my steak was like a ping pong ball.
It was freezing today even for our standards and charlotte was in a strop and wouldnt put her coat on and refused to eat so i marched her inside and she sat in there no food:confused: i wasnt being mean but she had pushed me to my limits today. Obv i bought her somthing afterwards. I had the roast beef which was beautiful mom had the surf and turf and dave had fish and chips.
Charlotte had a hotdog:rotfl:
By thiis time it was 845 and there was noway i could passify charlotte so we headed back to okw. We hv got another day planned after the cruise so will do illuminations then. Queues were horrondous but luckily had the instant FP from our dvc tour. Test track was down so didnt do it. Nice to just walk on soarin though. One of dizzys shoes fell off on here:laughing:He was more mithered about his trainer than watching the screen. Bought him a pkt of goofys candy to passify him after.:woohoo:
Another good day but a hectic one.
Seaworld next
Day 4(sorry it should say day 3 for epcot)

Seaworld
This is charlottes fav park. As we wernt doing DC i had booked her and my mom onto the dolphin encounter tour . Dave and i planned to hv a costa coffee and a cinnimon roll yummy.
We were able to take pictures over by the rocks but they werent tht close. We decided to buy the cd with 46 photos on it for $40 rather than one for $20:confused3
We headed for the spicemill for lunch which was quite nice. Charlotte wanted to spend all day looking at dolphins but i said no..........several times. Another telling off. I was quite shocked at her behavior the last two days as she never normally behaves in this way.
Anyway we did the new shamu show which was fantastic.
Penguins of course next as they are my favorite. Had to b dragged out:eek:We then did the blue horizon show which was also good. C decided to take me on atlantis. I must say i hated it. Would do everest anyday.
After another visit to the dolphin area we left the park at 1745. Taxi was only $18 dollors which was good i thought from okw.
Anyway we ate at olivias and i must say the meal was verygood. I had pot roast dave had ribeye and mom had the salmon. C had chicken and fries . We were all suprised as not really had good reports.
Im sorry but i wont be able to post till thurs as wnt hv free wifi which i must say is ace Wayne and Matt. Very fast as well. So will type up on our return from the cruise.
I will use my iphone for pics as obv cant upload from camera as hv no laptop with me. Bye for now.

You're certainly packing in some good fun filled days. And as for Dizzy's adventure, you sure know how to show a bear a good time :thumbsup2

Ah, Tigger and Pooh at the UK pavillion were awesome when we were there too. You should have given Dizzy a camera and asked them to bring him back in an hour with the pics - bet those would have been some new photos!!

Enjoy your cruise and we'll look forward to the next update when you are back on land again!!
