In summer-August. Currently, we are planning on staying Sunday-thursday. When we consider all we want to do (and DS's nap schedule), we are thinking it would be nice to extend our time a bit. But are the crowds on Saturday, August 11, just too terrible that it wouldn't be worth it? How are Sundays?

Our flight will get in at 10:30 am. at SNA. I figure we'll get to the DLH, check in, try to get our 3yo to nap (will NOT happen) then head into the park for maybe a few rides/dinner/maybe a parade or Tiki Room or something.

Monday-park opening at DL, tuesday park opening DCA, fireworks, Wednesday maybe a little later start, Thursday just the morning in the park. Last time, without cars land we didn't get through everything we wanted to with 3 full park days.

We always have arrived on a Sunday and leave the following Sat. Parks are still busy in the evening but it seems much less busy on Sunday evening. Tried arriving on Friday a few years back which made us switch to Sunday. Hotel rates are always higher on Friday.

I would go on Sunday. Most CA schools will still be on summer vacation at that time.
