oK EXPERTS--HERE IS A QUESTION FOR YOU. MY DH,DD, AND I WILL BE CHECKING INTO VWL ON JUNE 1ST WHICH IS A WEDNESDAY--WE ARE LOOKING AT TWO DIFFERENT ARRIVAL TIMES AND I AM ASKING YA'LLS OPINION TO DECIDE HOW WE WILL WORK THE TRANSPORTATION FROM TAMPA TO DISNEY BASED ON YOUR INPUT. DO YOU THINK IT REALLY MATTERS IF WE ARRIVE AT 1:00P.M. OR 3:00 P.M. AS FAR AS VILLA ASSIGNMENT GOES. WE HAVE BOOKED A STUDIO AND I WILL CALL TOMORROW TO REQUESTED A QUIET, DEDICATED ONE AND WONDER IF THE TWO HOURS COULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE. THIS IS OUR FIRST TRIP "HOME" SO ANY INPUT IS APPRECIATED. IF YOU HAVE S SPECIFIC VILLA NUMBER YOU LIKE AT VWL OR BWV(WE MOVE THERE ON SUNDAY INTO A 1 BEDROOM) THAN PLEASE SEND THEM MY WAY.
THANKS VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP!

First, please stop yelling! (using all caps)

We checked in the the VWL two weeks ago, they were using a room ready system and not a pre-assigned system, so calling ahead may not make any difference if your room is not assigned until you get there.

The quietest villas are at the end of the loooooong hallway because no one is walking by them. The noisest obviously are those that are closest to the elevators because everyone is walking by them. Your desire for quiet may require a longer walk to your room. If you mean quiet by outside noise, there is virtually none with the exception of birds chirping or deer munching.

Your check-in time window is only a two hour window, so depending on how busy it is on your check-in day, it could have a major impact or none at all. I always try to check-in as early as possible so that some of our requests are met.

I always first request non-smoking, then because we stay in studios, we request a non-handicapped room because DS is little and needs a bathtub. Then because we've been on the end of that looooooong hallway, we request something close to the elevator. Our requests are in order of priority. Requesting a specific room is almost pointless. Someone would have to be checking out of that room the same exact day you are checking in. You are better off making more general requests.

Have a great trip!

When we were at VWL in early December and checked in for a studio, we were given our choices for rooms. Not all of them were ready, and the one that we wanted the most we had to wait for, others were ready. We decided to wait for the one we wanted. Not sure if they do this all the time.

In my experience, the BWV pretty much always preassigns rooms. The room assigner goes by what is on the reservation - if you haven't already told MS that you want a dedicated 1 bedroom, call on Monday and get your request added to your reservation.

If you have more than one request, make sure MS lists them in the order of importance to you. Most people list their smoking/non-smoking preference first.

If you want more suggestions for the BWV, you'll need to post what category you have booked - SV, PV -Pool/Garden or PV - BW view.

IMHO, it isn't going to make much difference what time you check into the BWV, so just do whatever is most convenient for your party.

Best wishes -
