This will be the first time we cruise after a night at WDW. Since there are just two of us it is most cost-effective to take the DCL transportation. I have read the average pickup time is around 11AM; is that still the case most times? I also see it is OK if we arrive around 1PM because the lines will be negligible.

Depending on your resort, and how many people are using cruise transfers, you'll be picked up somewhere between 1030 and 1230. Your bus may stop at other resorts after yours to pick up more guests. The trip out to the port is approximately an hour. Open boarding usually begins around 1230, and it is extremely likely that you will arrive at the port after open boarding has begun.

If it’s a full sailing( I always sail Thanksgiving, NYE, Fourth of July, Easter) I’ve been told by the Disney phone staff that the value resorts are picked up last and your time will be given a day in advance. From what I told they’re not picked up later than 2 PM.

A few weeks ago I was picked up by Disney Cruise bus at All Star Music. Bus arrived 11am. The bus never filled up completely. We departed the hotel about 11:15 am. It was first and only stop. The bus drove directly to the ship. We arrived at the ship terminal at 12:30 pm.

We changed our hotel to WL and just decided to make an 8:30am breakfast reservation for 2 at Kona Cafe at the Poly. We should be fine to get back to the WL by 10:30am right in case that's our pick-up time for our cruise transfer?

I would want at least 90 min for travel. 30 min to take monorail to mk, and then at least 30 to get to WL bus stop, plus room to spare.

I would also allow 90 minutes for the meal in case they are running late, and so you have time too enjoy it.

Good news is that you will get the pick up time the night before, so if it would cut it too close you can cancel without penalty and get breakfast at WL. You could also walk to fort wilderness for more options.

Thanks for the tips. Hoping for an 11am pick-up time. Maybe if worst came to worst we just uber back from Poly to WL. That can't take much more than a few minutes, once we receive the Uber.

Just did this from WL.....our pick up time was 11:30. Stopped at Saratoga after that. Full bus.
Got to ship about 1:15.

Having been to Kona before, and having had quite a wait even with adrs, I would not do this.

Thanks for the tip. We have never eaten at Kona before, so good to know ADRS still require a lengthy wait. Maybe we will head to Fort Wilderness for their buffet instead?

Do you have plans to go to whispering canyon for breakfast? That would be an option right WL.

We haven't decided to make a reservation there. We went a few years ago and really didn't like all the craziness. I think if worst came to worst we would just grab breakfast in the quick-service area?

Breakfast adrs at WL and fort wilderness should be easy to get. So you have time to look at the menus when you get there them decide.

I would make the kona adr now as that could be hard to get, in case you get a late bus time. If you get any early time, cancel kona and then decide between trails end at the fort, whispering canyon, or roaring forks
