Arrival day traditions/plans

We usually arrive around late morning/early afternoon. We chick in if we can, it not we store our bags with bell services and head to the pool for a bit(we have all our pool stuff in carry on's). By the time we are finished swimming, our room is usually ready so we go and unpack. We always head out to Disney Springs for dinner. We eat at the Boathouse or WPE (two of our favs) then stroll around the shops. We love the big Disney store and the Christmas store. We head back to the hotel and try to get to bed early for our first park day! We love the relaxing pace!

We arrive around noon. Great thing about FP+is that we can tour later that day with no worries!

My family and I always stay at the Fort. My parents are there already when I arrive since they spend the winter RVing around Florida. I fly in as early as possible, take the DME and arrive midday hopefully. My dad and I will bike around the campground, fish, or hit the pool or a water park if it's nice. Sometimes we head over to Disney Springs. Then we have dinner at Kona Cafe followed by a Dole Whip and watch the fireworks from the beach at the Poly. I find it nice to ease into things and not have to go full speed immediately upon arrival.

We like to take the first flight out, arrive at our resort by 10AM and for the most part make it a resort day. We do grab lunch at Disney Springs and walk around there for a while checking out the shops. We'll then head back to our resort to enjoy the pool and relax for the rest of the day to get ready for rope drop the next day!

Always have wine, sparkling wine or something in the airport/on the plane, and apple juice if the party includes children. Always hit Epcot for a ride or 2 and to see Illuminations and then late dinner somewhere great. I'm usually those people getting the after fireworkds bookings Someone has to be the ying to the yang of the folks that eat dinner at 4:30!
