Arrival Day Plans...Opinions wanted

Again you guys are awesome and I am so listening to your advice!:lovestruc

We have not been to to DL as a family (last time I was there....'89), but we did go to WDW in '05. Not the same I know.....

We will see the fireworks on Sunday with the Happiest Haunts Tour so I am not so worried about seeing them this night. I am more worried about getting a good view of Fantasmic. :thumbsup2

So I have scrapped Aladdin for today and put that in for Sunday (I guess it only plays on weekends).

Here is what I have now:

Saturday Sept 26 ARRIVAL DAY

Arrive Long Beach Airport 9:24am

Goofy’s Kitchen 12:00pm-1:30pm

Get Indy FPs

Jedi Training Academy Tomorrowland Terrace 2:25pm (or 3:30pm if earlier is too crowded)

Tom Sawyer’s Island 3pm-4pm Kids are so excited to see TSI

Go back to hotel

Back to DL around 8pm

POTC

Indy use FP (or after F! if POTC takes too long)

Fireworks 9:30pm
recommend watching the fireworks from the area in front of Fantasmic - the crowd for the 9 show will be watching, and leave after the fireworks, openning up lots of space for the 10:30 show. You won't see Tink or Dumbo well, but it's the only way to get a good spot for Fantasmic.

Fantasmic 10:30pm show

If up to it go on a few rides after Fantasmic

From Long Beach Airport to DLR will take about 20-30 minutes on a Sat. morning. And getting luggage could take as long as 15 or 20 minutes after you de-plane. We found LGB to be very SMALL and easy to maneuver. If you are catching a shuttle they are right near the baggage claim and if you are renting a car they are across the "street". I think we landed at about 8:30 am and were at the HoJo by about 10:15 am and we stopped for a pick up breakfast on our way or we would have been there sooner. It was very fast and easy to get from the airport to the parks. I would expect you could be to your hotel by 11 am very easily.

Make sure you stick Aladdin in there somewhere, it is a show that is definitely worth seeing.

And if the right side line is open for Pirates, choose that side, it always seems to go faster than the left side.
