Arrival Day Plans for 1st Visit in December

The 10 pm Wishes is in your favor. You still need to expect the worse when it comes to travel. So, assume you wait the full 20 min (and it could be more, but it's not supposed to be) both at MK and at Beach Club, then it takes 20 min driving (again, that doesn't account for any traffic), you're already at 80 min just for travel.

If you can leave Cape May at 9:00, you should be okay, but you won't have a very good viewing spot, and you may miss the beginning.

Ask for your bill when you first sit down (explain that you're in a hurry), and go ahead and sign for your credits and your tip. That will allow you to leave as soon as you're done eating without waiting for your server.

Cape May is a perfect restaurant for an Epcot or DHS day, but out of the way for a MK day. It's probably doable though.

Here lies the problem... We are eating dinner at Via Napoli on our EP day and that is non negotiable. DH is already looking forward to the crab legs and other items on Cape May's menu so I prefer not to cancel. Staying at CBR if that matters. Here are my plans again in more detail:

M - HS, Boma @ 8:25pm
T - EP, Via Napoli @ 6:20pm
W - MK, Cape May @ 7:50/5:40pm
T - AK, Boma @8:50, Narcoossee's @5:30
F - MK, BOG @ 12pm

If I take the currently open 5:40pm reservation for Cape May, would that be better or do you all still see that as a mistake? We will be at MK from rope drop to closing so I didn't think going outside for dinner was too big of a deal.

1/2 hour walk to Epcot area Hotel - or boat if ready to board
T - EP, Via Napoli @ 6:20pm
W - MK, Narcoossee's @ 7ish (using MK Resort Monorail)
Th- AK, Boma @ ?
F - MK, BOG @ 12pm

With this plan you will not have all this longer-distance traveling all over the place!

Wed. - If you choose to keep Cape May, I'd opt for the earlier seating, as you will be in the tail end of the busy afternoon - bail out, do your traveling to CapeMay, relax a bit, take in the decorations at the resorts, and you should get back to MK in time for wishes and closing the place down for the night.

Th - AK day, you can sleep in (you will be staying in MK to close on Wed?), and you will have had 3 busy days already - relax, arriving at the park later in the day, staying until almost close of park to take bus to AKL for your meal at Boma. If you arrive early, you can tour the lodge, have a drink in their lounge, view the animals with the night scopes.

Whatever you decide to do, I hope you enjoy your trip and make many magical memories.

I agree with PP to try to move Narcoosees to your MK day. Then you could spend time looking at Xmas decorations at all three monorail resorts in the time it would take to get to Cape May and back. Assuming that Thurs Boma is for breakfast, you could go to Cape May for dinner & spend the evening on the Boardwalk.

Agree with the others on the more efficient plan, but if you can't get those ADRs or are tired of messing around with everything, your earlier Cape May would be better than the 7:50. It gives you a more relaxed break from the park.

Right! I have been trying to find a Narcoossee's ADR for my MK day but no luck yet. Thursday Boma is breakfast (requested by DH), Monday is dinner.

As we will be in MK from rope drop to close on Wed, we are okay with leaving for a few hours. I moved the Cape May reservation to 5:30pm.

Thanks for all of your help! I will, however, continue to look for ADRs that match the more efficient plan.
