We will be arriving at Disney around 10:30 am. We would have been on a plane since 6:00 am. with a too short to eat layover. We plan to dine at Epcot early evening. The question is for lunch should we eat something at the hotel - Wilderness Lodge or grab something at Epcot? I am at a lost for where to go at Epcot to get something light and quick-ish. By the way one member of our group is a vegetarian. Any suggestions are welcomed!

That's our typical arrival time as well. Our usual practice is to eat at the resort if we can get into our room. So, we spend some time getting settled in. If we can get into our room right away then we go eat in a park and tour until our room is ready.

I would go to Sunshine Seasons at EPCOT. They have a wide variety of light fare including several vegetarian options.

Are you sure you'll want a "light" lunch? If you're on a plane since 6:00 AM, doesn't that mean you probably had to be at the airport at 4:00 AM so you probably didn't have much of a breakfast either.

Unless your dinner is really early (like 4:00 PM), I'd plan on eating a normal sized lunch or you'll end up even more exhausted after all the travel.

Ditto the suggestion of Sunshine Seasons in The Land...you can go light, or full meals there, cold or hot, vegetarian or full-on meat like pork chops.

While Sunshine Seasons is a great place for lunch I am going to go the other way and recommend that you eat at your resort. Because it will probably be noon before you're checked in. So it would be close to one before you even got to Epcot, and the place will be packed to the rafters with people eating.

On the other hand it should be a lot quieter and less crowded at Roaring Forks at WL. Have lunch and catch your second wind and THEN head over to Epcot refreshed and ready to tackle the afternoon touring. And yes, RF does have vegetarian options.

Great advice. Thanks y'all. I will really need to consider what snacks to take on the plane for the kids. We probably will need a solid lunch before touring. I had not considered how crowded dining might be at that time of day at Epcot. It may be the better bet to eat at the resort.

Thanks again :worship:
. . . I wish they had life skills boards to help answer all those other pesky questions that come up :)
