Hey everyone,
Really pumped about going tomorrow. We land at 3pm. We have ME. I see Epcot is EMH for the evening until Midnight.

If I get to the park at 6pm, can I still acquire my FP vouchers, and if so, would it be worth it?

There was an FAQ on the GAD vouchers, an external website, but I can't find it. Anyone help with that?

Thanks so much again

Here is the site you are probably looking for:

http://www.oinc.net/disney/fastpass.php#gad

Disney states that the FP exchange cards are limited and may not be available after 11 am, but many people have posted getting FP cards in the evening. You will be able to find out before you enter the park.

Have a great trip!

Oh thank you...yes that is the site. It doesn't mention anything on that website about 11am, but it is not an official Disney site.

Thanks again. You always help me out!

Worth a try!

The site is Doconeill's - way better than an official site! :goodvibes

You shouldn't have any issues redeeming for FP cards in the evening. Several DISers reported redeeming late in the afternoon even during Easter week.

I think the 11 am language might have changed, actually, to just that FP exchange cards may be limited. At any rate, I'm not sure anyone on the DIS has been denied at any time on any date so far.

Being able to choose the fastpass option with your GAD voucher is guaranteed only if you arrive before 11 AM.

The original language is still correct; changing it to say merely that the "fastpass option is limited" would only eliminate the guarantee.

Personally I would not worry about the FastpPasses at Epcot after 6:00. Especially since FPs are not used during EMH.

We just got back form WDW and used our GAD vouchers one evening for fastpasses without any difficulty.

I wish I had saved one of the papers they hand you, because the wording has indeed changed to "Fast passes may be limited, therefore we recommend you get them early" as the pp noted, or words to that effect. Nowhere does it mention 11:00 am.

But they'll tell me at the gate before I waste it right?
I know i'll only use it for a few hrs, but I have 6 vouchers for a 7 day stay.

I want to us to ride the big attractions, and wont they be all packed if i get there at 4?

Yes. If you go to Will Call and say you want to redeem for FP exchange cards, they should tell you that they are not available (I say "should" instead of "will" because I'm not sure it has ever happened that someone was denied).

There are several WDW wait times apps if you have a smart phone - you could check the waits before you go in. Or you could go in and check the wait times, then go back to Will Call (not the most efficient method, to be sure, but I have never noticed a wait times board outside the turnstiles).

Unless it is the only Epcot day you have planned, you could enjoy the World Showcase that evening and save the voucher for another day (assuming you have 7 park days total and six vouchers).

just landed. Sounds like a good plan. I just added data for the trip. Thank you X 10

My Undercover Tourist WDW app on iPhone 4 says 80 mins for Test Track and 85 for Soar'n! I'm jealous, we have 8 days to wait!:worship: PS. Okay, I'm slow, what is a GAD voucher??????

I probably should say something about the 11am "virtual limit". I actually thought I did - but there are links to the official FAQ where they state it.

Only the Fastpasses have ever had the "limit".

And one one has ever come back here and reported that they have been unable to get them at any time.

FP might be in use during EMH. It depends on the attraction manager for that night. And if the AM had decided in time for publishing it will be in the EMH Times Guide that FP is in use. But there is no guarantee that there will be FP, and even if there is, whether the GAD FPXC will be usable.

Got to Epcot that first day at 6pm and Will Call discouraged me from getting the FP cards for that day although after experiencing the workings of the system for the whole week I bet I would have been able to use them fine even at that late hour.

Most of the FP machines that were out had the one open for exchange cards, but those were turned off during night EMH's.

Having all 6 of our party have the cards for 6 days was an embarrassment of riches!
