Background/info: We are a party of 5 with Grandma (my mom), Grandpa (my dad), DS 4.5, DS 2, and myself (hubby has to work). We are staying at AoA Saturday 6/4- Saturday 6/11. We live in GA and will drive to Lake City, FL on Friday (approximately 4 hrs 27 min with no stops), leaving around 6pm, eating dinner beforehand or in car, hoping boys sleep, hoping to arrive by midnight. Getting up no later than 8 on Sat morning and probably earlier with 2 young boys (everyone in one room), free complimentary breakfast, then on the road to WDW by 9-10 (approximately 2 hrs 24 min with no stops), hoping to get there between noon and 1.
I made a personalized touring plan on touringplans.com for park arrival at 3. However, I was going to put in for our first FP 2:15-3:15 so that I can schedule another right after at 3:15-4:15 and then the third 4:15-5:15. Because it's a Saturday, wait times are projected to be 20-30 minutes for most of the attractions (longer for the attractions I plan to FP) so I'm hoping to be able to add a few additional FP, after initial use.
I'm just worried on timing. It's a risk to schedule at 2:15 if we don't make it to first FP (Peter Pan) by 3:15, but honestly I am having a hard time predicting when we will actually arrive at WDW, and MK. We do have a car, so we could drive or bus. We have a handicap placard for my dad so with driving, we park very close and don't have to deal with trams.
Plan posted below. FYI, I created the plan, then picked my FP based on the longest waits. Another FYI: we are most likely changing MSEP to another (less busy) day - we have 2.5 days planned - so we don't have as many people to fight with for a spot/view and so we can (hopefully) ride some things during with little wait.
Any advice/experiences/opinions you don't mind sharing? TIA
