Arrival day, before check in

We have a breakfast reservation at Steakhouse 71 the morning we arrive and before we check in to Pop Century. Will showing our magic bands at the gate get us in without having to pay for parking? We have a late lunch reservation at Steakhouse 71 as well so I'm guessing we can just stay parked at the Contemporary while visiting Magic Kingdom until after lunch when we will drive to Pop and check in?

No. But having a resort reservation at Pop will get you free parking at TTC, where you will likely be asked to park and then monorail over to CR. You will not be allowed to leave your car at CR while to visit MK.

So any dining reservations at the monorail resorts will require TTC parking and you can't drive directly to the resort?

You have a breakfast and lunch reservation for Steakhouse 71 on same day? … seems like you should be allowed to park at the Contemporary.
The security guard at the gate will ask you to show the reservations on your I phone I think and then will check on his ipad to doublecheck . Or he could just wave you in and tell you where to park … Maybe it depends on how crowded the lot is with resort guest parking. They are trying to give resort guests priority but the restaurant also has to accommodate guests…for their business.
I have a dinner reservation and a next day breakfast reservation . it’s not that strange since it is new and is getting good reviews.

We didn't start to plan for both on the same day but wanted a lunch reservation and that was the only one we could get that would fit in our plans. We reserved the breakfast on arrival just thinking it would be convenient when driving over after spending the night in Kissimmee. We hadn't considered that we might not get to park at the Contemporary. If we have to park at TTC it will certainly add some time we hadn't planned on.

A dining reservation gives you a 3 hour max parking time. As mentioned above, you should not leave your car at resort and go to a park. It is unfair to the resort guest who needs to park at their resort.
Park at the TTC.

I’m not up to date in parking issues/options, moving to transportation board for their expert opinions

I understand and don't want to do anything unfair. My thought was since we also have a lunch reservation there, we hope we could just leave the car until after lunch. We won't do that unless we would find out it was OK. Thanks for the input.

The only way you could do that is if you pay for valet parking at the resort, which is good for the whole day.
