I was finally able to accept, pay the housing fee and select my arrival date tonight!! :woohoo: I am soooo excited! I just went from this:  because I could not get a link to work to submit the fees; to this: :dance3: in about 15 minutes!!

Anyone else arriving June 11th?

As of right now, I will be arriving on June 11th! I have an interview for a PI on Saturday, so hopefully that will go well. If I don't get the PI or another incredibly awesome job offer, I'll definitely be doing the CP. So excited! :)

WELCOME!!
I am spring advantage and will be there until August 3rd [unless I extend.. ;) ]
so I am always here to help and will see you around :]

Thank you! Congrats on getting accepted to the CP as well! :goodvibes Are you graduating this May?

Thank you! Unfortunately, no. I am a Junior. I am not sure what my graduation date is going to be. I was going full-time at Mansfield University of Pennsylvania for Graphic Design. My husband, kids and I moved to Florida the week before Christmas, so, I had to transfer. I am not happy with what the schools here have to offer for Graphic Design, so I am taking courses through The Art Institute of Pittsburgh On-Line. Just one course at the moment, because there were some issues with my transfer. I am hoping to go full-time, again, as soon as things are straightened out. It will happen eventually, though, right? ;) I waited 19 years to go back to school, what are a few more! :rotfl:

Gotcha. My roommate is a Graphic Design major. I am a math major and could never do what she does, haha! That's awesome that you got to move to Florida, but I bet it was pretty hectic to move the week before Christmas. At least you won't have to deal with snow anymore! :thumbsup2

I am currently in attractions, what role will you be doing?

It was absolutely crazy. My husband and kids came a week before me. I had finals the week after they left. So, we were packing studying for finals, cleaning our house.... I hope to not do that, again, for awhile. :headache: I will be moving into Disney housing, though. But, that shouldn't be as bad. And, yes, no more snow!! :woohoo:

I will be a PhotoPass Photographer. I already own my own business (mainly wedding photography), so I think that's why they put me there. ;)

Nice! My roommate would LOVE to have that role. She takes pictures constantly and can easily take a hundred in an afternoon.

I couldn't imagine packing up your home, while studying for finals! :scared1: My dorm room becomes completely chaotic during finals week, as the library becomes my home and I usually don't take the time to pick up until finals are over. So glad I only have 1 more week of finals left to deal with.

I can't imagine how excited you are only having one more week of finals. That is awesome! :goodvibes Definitely DO NOT move around finals AND a major holiday! It was pure craziness. :sad2:

100 pictures is minor. That is an hour for me. ;) Last summer, I hired my husband as my second. Between the two of us, we are averaging about 3000 pictures per wedding. He purchased a MacBook Pro for me, so I can keep up with the editing. My Dell just wasn't cutting it. :rotfl:

Dang, that's a ton of pictures! I only take about 1,000 pictures when my family goes to WDW for an entire week. I can't imagine how many pictures you must take when you travel.

I definitely don't take that many when I'm on vacation. ;) But, it's a wedding, you know? It's - hopefully - a once in a lifetime for that couple. And they are relying on us to capture that day for them. Plus, we are there for the rehearsal (although not many are taken then) and we arrive when everyone is starting to get ready and don't leave until the bride and groom leave. It's usually about a total of 20 hours just in the day and a half.

True story. I guess 3000 doesn't seem so bad, given that you are taking pictures for 20ish hours. Any clue as to how many pictures a PhotoPass Photographer takes in a day?

I have no idea, but I bet I will find out!! :lmao:
