Arrested Development***spoilers***

Show was absolutely brilliant, yet something as simple as Buster talking about "going to Army" cracks me up.

And when Lucille catches Buster in bed with the Roomba. "What do you expect mother?" Holding up hook hand "I'm half machine!"

And Carl Weathers, and GOB's show music. So wonderful.

"She calls it mayon-egg." Poor Ann. LMAO!

When I was watching the episodes I knew she looked familiar but I couldn't place her. I had to look on IMDB. She plays one of the daughters on "Parenthood".

"Her? Really?"

:rotfl:

She had a really fun roll in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World too.

I just recently watched the IT Crowd on Netflix too. Another brilliant show, just love it.

A

HAHA One of my faves! "I'm half machine! I'm a monster!"

Tobias to Lindsay "Okay, Lindsay, are you forgetting that I was a professional twice over - an analyst and a therapist. The world's first analrapist"

Buster "Mom signed me up for the army, just because the fat man dared her to."

Ok, so I'm about 6 epsidodes into the 2nd season again.

Lindsay and Tobias getting Michaels old bedroom with the big bed. Tobias: It will be nice to be in a queen again. LOL

And Michael wanted to take George Michael to Legoland :rotfl:

The sign at Buster's going away party thrown by Lucille with the banner that read "Buster, You are Killing Me".

Buster thinking he has fled to Mexico.

I could go on and on. I adore this show!

Arrested Development may be my favorite show of all time. So fantastic, and so great to rewatch -- it was only when I watched the season again that I caught the foreshadowing of Buster's seal encounter when Buster finds his hand chair again and exclaims, "I never thought I could miss a hand so much!"

I could quote it all day: "These are my awards, Mother. From Army. The seal is for marksmanship, and the gorilla...is for sand racing." "Ooh, they have my brands here!" "Yeah, yeah, the guy in the $3500 suit is going to [insert basic act of politeness here ;)]." "Maybe...I'll try and put it in her brownie." And I think all of those are just from "Afternoon Delight."

I am of the sound opinion that there has never been a funnier show than Arrested Development. I frequently try to recruit my friends as new fans. I can only hope that the movie actually gets made, but it has been a long and fruitless road so far. My fingers are still crossed (sometimes).

Fave moments:

Tobias saying something to the effect of: "...if you'll allow me to take off my actor's pants and pull on my analrapist's stocking..." :rotfl: I honestly don't think I've ever found a funnier statement than that one!

And a VERY close second? Bob Loblaw. Just say it out loud. A couple of times. Bob Loblaw. It makes me smile every time.

I had forgotten about "Afternoon Delight"! That was hilarious both times it happened.

And poor GOB finally making the cover of "Poof" Magazine.

I just rewatched the one where everyong thinks George Sr is dead and they show why they can't tell Buster because of how he reacts when he is angry.

He tore up the kitchen when the maid lost his bird because that's where he thought she lived. He threw a dustbuster (what he thought was her favorite toy) at the bus (what he thought was her car).

"Yeah, yeah, the guy in the $3500 suit is going to [insert basic act of politeness here ;)]."

"Come on!"

I lent it to one of my coworkers and we talk about it often. I think our fave is when we're throwing something away ... "Return from whence you came!"

After laughing so hard at that originally, I loved the later episode when Gob said "From whence it came, huh?" I forget what he was talking about. I loved all the callbacks they did like that.

Another favorite, all the guys walking dejectedly like Charlie Brown, with the music. Esp Tobias over his stolen eggs.

I just recently watched the IT Crowd on Netflix too. Another brilliant show, just love it.

Only 18 episodes on Netflix (British shows always seem to run short seasons), but they are 18 episodes of pure brilliance.

They finally released a 4th season in the UK. If you search around you can find some places that were streaming them for the US, since it'll be awhile before we get Season 4.

Back to the topic of AD, who couldn't love the "lessons" that the kids were always taught by their Dad's friend.

"...and that's why you always leave a note!" :rotfl:

One of the funniest things was the stairs car.

Could you imagine seeing someone driving that down the street?

They are playing season 4 on IFC now. I loved the first episode but haven't been thrilled with the others. I think the last one was Italian for Beginners? It had something to do with Italian.

I think of Moss' reboot all the time, with the Windows startup music, when I need a chuckle.

The Italian one was pretty good. I thought S4 was alright, but I thought the finale was pretty weak.

My favorite episodes from the whole series are the "Work Outing" and the "Dinner Party." Although anything with Richmond in it is an instant classic!

We love this show at our house! We just watched it all on Netflix this past year or two. I love Tobias' stint with the BlueMan group and his catlike reflexes. I think he is my favorite.

Watched more episodes again today. I love Maebys job as movie exec. And Linsday constantly taking Teamocil to reduce her sex drive. I watched the "Good Grief" episode where they all walked around like Charlie Brown while the music played.
And today something I had not noticed the first time was when George Michael wanted to go to Ann's house to cook yams instead of the company Christmas party, Michael finally said something like "Fine, go be with Yam"

I swear though, Tobias is a scream. He was talking about work on a film and I just had to look up the line on google because I don't want to mess it up.

TobiasWell, I've always wanted to remake Annie Hall. Except, I wouldn't want to get in bed with a green producer like a Sofia Coppola though. Oh, but give me an old pro like a Robert Redford. Oh, I'd jump into bed with him in a second. And I wouldn't just lie there, Michael Bluth, if that's what you're thinking.

I LOVE that whole episode. The price of the suit keeps changing and Michael and Maeby are sticking candy to the back of his jacket.

And speaking of lawyers, how bout that Henry Winkler. He does a great job as the Bluth's lawyer.

"These are my awards, Mother. From Army." That's a great quote.

And that stupid literal doctor. "I'm sorry, we've lost him"

:rotfl: You're killing me with these. It's been about a month or 2 since I last watched any episodes.

I'm trying to finish up Season 1 of Anthony Bourdains' No Reservations, but now I may have suspend that to spend some time with the Bluths...AGAIN!
