Around what month does the Marathon sell out?

I tried to do a search but it wasn't working. What months do the Disneyworld Marathon normally sell out? The half marathon and the goofy too if someone has those numbers

I don't have the exact dates but I think if you go to Robert's site www.disneyrunning.com you should be able to find the sell out dates there. The Full took awhile to fill and actually wasn't full until maybe a month or so ago. The Half and the Goofy closed quickly. The Goofy closed maybe a month after opening. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Thanks for the effort! I went to his website and got overwhelmed at the information there and couldn't find what I was looking for!

The only information I could find was that when the Nov marathon newsletter was sent out there was only 400 entries still available for the full. So it was open quite awhile. The half I want to say was closed before May based on what the May newsletter says. The Goofy probably was closed in Feb or March. Hopefully (for some people) they will add more entries to the Goofy - its not something I plan on doing but I know alot of people want to do the Goofy but can't get in because its full.

Hopefully that will help you out for now until someone else can answer with a definate answer. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Looks like I am the one still around - everyone is already at WDW having fun. I will be there tomorrow morning and then after the marathon I can have my fun!!

Good question! I found a thread on disneyrunning.com about the 1/2 in 2008. It looks like...

75% full by 2/11
85% full by 2/18
95% full by 3/5
100% full by 3/10

I'm thinking about doing the 1/2 in 2009 so I guess I better decide soon!

Good info. I am doing the Princess 1/2 in March. From there I am going to decide if I do the whole or half Flying Pig here in Cinci in May. If I do the whole, I then want to see if I want to do wholes or halfs in the future. Looks like if I wait until May to decide whole or half for Jan. 10 I will be outta luck if I want the half, but fine if I want the whole.

Oh, and I don't get why the Goofy sells out before both races fill?

Because they don't have as many opening available for the Goofy. I think there is only like 2500 Goofy spots (may be more but I don'tt think it much more) HTH
