My family and I are interested in getting FULL at Epcot. lol We plan on stopping in each country and getting something to try or eat.

Interested in what your MUST HAVES for each country via counter or snacks would be.

EX: like my DH & DD12 will want California Rolls in Japan, My DD13 & myself will want pastries from France, and then my DD15 will want tacos for Mexico.

We want to snack and nibble all day. Since the Table credit for that day will be paired with another table credit to dine at CRT or MBB later in the week. IDK yet to which one.

Just curious where to stop and try new things in each country.

Joy of Tea Stand in China has pork buns and curry chicken pockets.
Norway has some interesting sandwiches and pastries
A brat from Germany would be my choice, but they also have some interesting sides
Tangieriene cafe...get the schawarma platter and share

Remember with a QS credit, you can sub any snack item for your dessert and/or drink entitlement, so you may want to do that to get more savory food to eat at some of the places. You can also get 3 snack credits for 1 QS at one location in the same transaction.

Some of my favorite items...
  • Kringla (Norway) - School Bread, Waffle, Chocolate Mousse
  • Lotus Blossom Cafe (China) - Ginger Ice Cream
  • Karamel Kuche (Germany) - Caramel Corn
  • Sommerfest (Germany) - Bratwurst and Soft Pretzel
  • Les Halles (France) - Pretty much everything in the dessert case
  • L'Artisan des Glaces (France) - Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich

Ok, I did not know you could sub 3 snack credits for a 1 QS!?? That would be great for eating around the world and trying some new things!!

Churros with caramel in mexico (we also get a margarita), school bread in Norway, pot stickers or egg rolls in China (both are good!), Germany my husband always gets a brat (he's German, haha) and I get something from karamel kuche (usually a cupcake or caramel corn), in Italy we usually just get wine because we don't want to sit down and eat, turkey leg or jalapeño cream cheese pretzel in the American pavilion, Japan we always get kakigori (Japanese shaved ice. This is a MUST DO) and I also love the chicken katsu curry rice! Morocco, we split a shwarma platter or just get some baklava and wine, and in France we always get the ham and cheese croissant with bechamel sauce AND a bowl of the lobster bisque because I'm obsessed with it. Their creme brulee is excellent as well. UK we get fish and chips to share, and a cadbury crunchie bar! Generally we are too full (and slightly tipsy) by Canada. Sadly. Lol!

France also has the ice cream shop, which we didn't try last trip (regrettably. Too full!), but I have heard magnificent things. Be sure you get a lemon grey goose slushie in France, too :lovestruc What dreams are made of...lol!

Pizza slice in Italy

You can't get a slice of pizza in Italy. There used to be a window at Via Napoli, but it wasn't Via Napoli pizza; it was just the same pizza you get everywhere else in WDW. I haven't heard of it being open in years, though.

I ate at Via Napoli on October 18th and there was a stand right next door that people were walking up to and walking away with what I thought was pizza. I assumed (always a bad idea!) that it was VN pizza since it was attached. Maybe it was a special F&W thing? It had red and white signage, but since I had an ADR inside I didn't really pay attention.

Anyone know?

I have read several times on the forums that the takeaway pizza next to Via Napoli opens when the park is extremely busy (which would make sense, for F&W). It is still functional and when crowds are high, they open it up. It is not, however, Via Napoli pizza, and is instead the same Disney theme park type pizza you would find anywhere else on property. That's what I have heard, at least.

I know for a fact that the takeaway booth still opens because I read about it on a forum not even a week ago. Unless that person was lying, or...something. Lol.

We eat so much pizza here at my home, I think we are getting burnt out on it. haha I am going to use the Dining Plan just to go all out on meals. My family loves food! We have 2 that are picky picky but they will get over it. LOL. The rest of us could be food critics or chefs!

I know our go to's but curious to try different things. I have to get my family, of course, Mickey Ice cream bars, Dole Whips, Soft Pretzels, Rice Krispies, and Candy Apples.... oh and then apparently from what I've been reading Cupcakes (from where?) in Hollywood Studios

Starring Rolls is the go-to cupcake place in HS. The butterfinger cupcake is highly regarded by most, although some say it is massively too sweet, so I suppose it depends on your sweet tooth, lol. We had the carrot cake cookie when we were there, which was amazing. Boardwalk Bakery over on the boardwalk also has amazing seasonal cupcakes :lovestruc

Ok, this makes sense since the park was so crowded. I'm surprised that it would be different pizza than Via Napoli. I know in DTD Anaheim the Patina group runs both the sit down Naples restuarnat and the take out Napolini counter. For anyone wondering the counter is to the left of the restaurant as you face it.

Remember this is all at 1 location. So you cannot convert and then eat a snack at France, and another in Italy, etc. You would be able to do the conversion so that you could get 3 snacks all in one place... ie all 3 at the bakery in France...yum!
