This morning we decided to go to MGM. Hopefully it would not be as hot and crowded as it was last time.
We arrived and the queue for the security check was a little smaller this time, but still quite long. Why dont they put more security guards on?
The Indiana Jones Stunt Show was first on our list today. We got FPs for Star Tours when we came out of the show and headed over to the ABC Commissary (what is a commissary?), for lunch. I had the fish and chips not too bad. As our FP time had come up for Star Tours, I ran over (well not ran; more of a quick walk) to get FPs for RnR.
After Star Tours we jumped aboard the Great Movie Ride and Voyage of the Little Mermaid before heading back to RnR for our FP.
As swim time was approaching we headed back to POR. After an early dinner at the POR food court I went to ask at Guest Relations what time MK closed tonight (the park closing times seemed to change daily!). The CM said 10pm. So we decided to head over to MK for the evening. We didnt have to wait long for a bus. One arrived at 7:45pm, and we jumped a board together with a couple of other families. The driver then said that MK actually closed at 8pm! Now, as I had just asked at Guest Relations and was told 10pm, I took it that the driver had got confused, especially as the American family sitting near us were told the same thing by Guest Relations.
We arrived at MK just gone 8pm and guess what! Yep MK closed at 8pm!
It was now too late to go onto another park, so we headed back to the bus stop. By this time as the park had just closed, the line for the bus back to POR was getting quite long. I was just a little bit annoyed with the CM who gave us the bum info!
As soon as we arrived back at POR I went to Guest Relations to let them know they had caused us a wasted evening I think I got an apology, but not much of one!
I needed a drink after all that, so we sat down in the lounge and had a nice cold beer.
The beer had the right effect, and after a while I could feel myself nodding off, so we retired for an earlyish night. I watch a bit of the baseball on ESPN, but was soon a sleep!
Part 11 next Lots of Fast Passes at MK
