Arm "swimmies" allowed at SSR and VB pool?

Does anyone know whether the inflatable arm "swimmies" are allowed to be worn at the pool at SSR and VB?

Just back from OKW last week and we went over to SSR for an afternoon and used the pool. My kids had the swimmies and the little inflatable tubes. Neither were a problem, however when my son was floating in a tube the lifeguard told him he wouldn't be able to go down the slide with it. I don't know if swimmies would be a problem on the slide, but I know for sure they aren't a problem in the pool.

I saw children wearing them at SSR in September and they were also using other flotation devices. You can rent or actually borrow for free swim vests from Disney resorts for the length of your stay which are great and save you from carrying more things with you from home. Also we were able to borrow swim noodles and beach balls from SSR Community Hall as well.

My 3 year old was going down the slide with his swimmies on last week. No problem!

Just be sure NOT to forget to pack them. We forgot DD's "water wings" a couple of years ago (she was 2). They don't sell them anywhere on WDW property. We tried to use a life vest with her, but she just kept tipping over face first. She was much more comfortable with her water wings. We went back last year & she had them @ Stormalong Bay (B & YC). No problem, she wore them going down the little kiddie slide.

We've used swimmies multiple times at VB with our 2 kids without a problem..

As a matter of fact, the lifeguards are pretty good at checking to make sure that the little ones have swim proof diapers on..

We found them at the trading post at the Fort Wilderness Campground. We travled all over WDW until we found them! I think we were staying at BCV that year!

Yes, the ones my son wore were purchased at the Conch Flats General Store at OKW. They must have listened to the many requests from travellers! They were $3.
