Arm in a sling, security?

It looks like, for our next trip in 2 weeks, I might have my arm in a shoulder stabilizer (almost like a sling, but it Velcros around my waist with cuffs for the upper arm and wrist). I usually don't bring bags to the parks anymore, so ... what can I expect, security-wise? Still go to the bagless line? I can take it off if I have to, but will they ask?

Bagless line. Won't ask you to take it off, most likely won't even acknowledge it.

They might send you through the metal detector but I can't see them asking you to take it off (I'm assuming it's all padded material and little/no metal?).

Yes, it's just padded cloth and Velcro, not difficult if they do ask to take it off. Bag free line and metal detector, it is, then!
