Arkansas Residents

Hi all,

My husband and I are considering moving to Arkansas. If we were to make to move it would be to the River Valler region. I was wondering if anyone on here lives or had been to this area for advice. We are planning on heading up there in the next few months but would like to have more information before. Thanks for your help.

Cara, what cities/towns are you looking at, specifically?

My BFF lives in the Fort Smith area, and I grew up in Arkansas. I've been to most every part of the state and can point you to what you need to know if I don't know it.

I was born and raised in the northwest area - however my mil and my bro live in the river valley area plus a cousin and it is a great place where exactly are you moving to?

Wow! My parents moved from IL to Russellville in 1986 right after my sister and I got married. In '87 they built a house in London and lived there until 2000 when my mom died. At that point, we moved my dad back to IL.

My kids still remember the long drive (13 hours) to visit grandma and grandpa. But most of all, they remember the time spent there swimming and swinging on Grandpa's tire swing!

The scenery if beautiful but I could never take the snakes and bugs!
I'm too much of a city girl I guess.

Born and bred River Valley girl here! I lived all my life outside of Russellville in Pottsville and now my mom lives in the heart of Russellville, big move for her

I live in the River Valley (Fort Smith). From an outsiders point, it really is beautiful with the abundant amount of trees and such. I've lived here all my life so I'm kind of yearning for a big bustling city.

(I live in the 2nd biggest city in the state, and we still only have 80,000 people.)
