Was wondering if anyone could tell me about Ariels.

It's closed and has been since about 1998. Not sure why it closed down or why the space never opened back up as another restuarant. I think the space is now occasionally used for wedding receptions and other similar events.

Gone, and as pp used for wedding receptions.I heard very recently that the BC was looking to reclaim the space for a new TS restaurant

I think it was a signature-type restaurant. I know it closed around 1998-1999, although I'm not sure why.

Hi,

Ariel's closed in May, 1997. It is still used for private functions. There have been occasional rumors that it will reopen in the future as a new restaurant but, because I have been hearing those rumors for a few years, I will believe it when I see it!

We ate there once, very upscale, excellent food and at the time I felt pricey...more expensive than Yachtsman Steakhouse was. I was sad when they closed.

Ariels is beautiful! I was lucky enough to go to a wedding there and it was a lovely venue.
