I'm looking at doing this with my almost two and 3 year old when we go in May. How does food work for the 2 year old? Do I have to pay 22 dollars for her if I want her to eat? They have such different tastes that I can't have the two kids share a meal.

I called Disney Dining about this.

The only options are for her to share the food you'll be getting for the paid members of your party, or to pay for an additional children's meal for her.

Went yesterday with our two year old and bought her a meal. She really liked it. My husband and I loved our food and were surprised because we heard bad reviews. The entire experience with the princesses was the icing on the cake. We thought it was worth it!

Thanks. Trying to decide if it is worth it. The food for the adults isn't really something my youngest will eat. I have heard mixed reviews if it is worth it for the princess interaction.

Has that policy changed recently? It's been awhile since we've done it, but when we had children under 3 they brought a little dish (usually pasta) out for them at no charge.

I've brought by daughter twice. And I'm taking her back in a few weeks (for her third birthday). The first time she just turned two and then again when she was 2.5. They brought a very simple yet appropriate amount of food for her. Noodles and spaghetti sauce and some fruit. We shared my dessert plate :)

My under threes have always been given something small at the sit down restaurants at no cost. I did share my meals as well, and I had little snacks.

My girls love Ariel's. I don't, and find the character interaction to be meh (except for the rare Mulan sighting, and she is absolutely fantastic) but I don't go there for me. :) It's worth it to see them happy.

When we first took our daughter (at 15 mos), 2 years ago in October, we visited Ariel's Grotto and she was given a free meal (there was a limited selection of simple dishes available). DH and I really enjoyed our meals as well, and it was a fun experience. We also received free meals for her at other restaurants in the park.

However, when we returned earlier this year (in March), when she was 2.5, we were unsuccessful in getting the free meals for her. We were told that was no longer offered. I haven't seen anything official about it, but we were told that consistently throughout the park.

We were there on Friday night with our 4 year old & 1 year old. For the 1 year old we had the option of angel hair pasta or mac & cheese. We did the mac & cheese but it was kinda bland. We also brought food for him & he pretty much just ate what we brought and a little bit from my plate. There was no charge for the 1 year old. I wasn't expecting them to bring him a plate, so I was pleasantly surprised.
