For those who have been to Ariel's Grotto for dinner, is it better to eat outside or inside?

I've actually only been there for lunch, but enjoyed eating outside when the weather was nice. Inside feels kind of cramped and is pretty noisy.

Once the lagoon is filled I'm sure outside will be lovely ~ might be a bit warm mid day in the summer.

I've only done breakfast and it was when the lagoon was 100% drained so I would not have wanted to eat outside then - no matter the time of day. Since the lagoon will actually be filled when I go again I would love to sit outside, so I think that would be my vote.

How do I know if the lagoon will be filled? We are going March 1st and I think we will do Ariel's Grotto on March 4th. Maybe we better eat inside in case of rain..

I don't know for sure, but I would guess it probably won't be filled until WOC is about to open.

The lagood is filled now. The platform may still be up but the water is back.

OP we love eating outside when the weather is nice, it's so pretty and there is less noise. But make sure you look around inside, the decor inside is really neat. :)

What constitutes "filled" then? I was there on Thursday and while there was water in it, the big ugly platforms were exposed. Or is that how it's going to be from now on?

If I get meal vouchers from Ares Travel, do I have to make a reservation to eat inside or outside? I see they have different prices.

Like I said, the lagoon is filled but the platform is still up. It's up because they are still working on it. The platform will rise and lower for the show but until they are done with it it will be in the raised position. But the lagoon is definitely filled, just look at the pilings over by the pier.

When we ate outside we were walk ups so I don't know if you can reserve outside, the best thing to do is to call.

We've used ARES and/or GAT vouchers for Ariel's ~ we've only sat inside, I'm sure the voucer would be fine for outside dining as well.

When I called and made our PS for September they asked if we wished to sit outside or inside, so I'm under the impression that you can make a PS and request to be outside.

I'm sure you can eat wherever you want or make whatever request you want when making your PS.
Our experiences have been that every time we've had a PS we've been seated inside (and not offered the choice when calling), every time we've walked up they've put us outside. That's why I suggested the OP call, everyone's experience could be different. :)
