Ariel....at Princess Meal in Norway?

My 2yo dd is totally into Ariel. Is Ariel at every meal at the Akerhaus or only some of the time? Really don't want to pay all that $$ if Ariel isn't there when we go.

There isn't a definitive answer to this. Ariel is there most of the time. She's been there both times we've eaten there. But there aren't any guarantees at Akershus except Belle.

Yeah Belle is a staple there. Ariel was there for our dinner last September. She was a great Ariel too!

When we ate breakfast there Ariel was NOT one of the princess. My friends family had NO Ariel at breakfast on her trip.

ALL character meals are subject to change day to day. Unless you are going for the "key" character (Belle at norway, Cindy at CRT, ect), you can never really count on any one person to be there.

That said, Ariel does make appearances there and seems to be a frequent visitor.

Thanks for the feedback. From what I have found this is the only character where Ariel could be. I wonder if we book it, if when we go to check in, we can ask if she is there and if not just cancel our res on the spot? What other princesses are there?

Every time we have went which almost always we have seen Belle. We saw Ariel in April of 2006 and not since. We were there last September and saw Belle, Cindy and Snow White (who was precious!). My son sat on her lap, snuggled down and went to sleep. I hope she's there for my daughter's 3rd brithday celebration in September! She loves Ariel.

Ariel was there in her ball gown during dinner one trip we went. Another trip we went at lunch and she was not there. We thought the Ariel we saw there was an awesome likeness, actually better than the one we saw in the Grotto.

Ariel was there last Sept. when we were there. She was fantastic! Probably the best character we saw all week.

When you make an ADR for Akershus you have to use a credit card. It is not charged at the time, but I believe you have to cancel your ADR at Akershus at least 48 hours in advance or your cc will be charged $10/person. I wouldn't make the ADR unless you are sure you want to eat there. You could always walk up and ask if Ariel is there and if she is, see if you can get a table without an ADR.

We have seen Ariel there this past December and May 2010. Strangely enough we did not see Belle in May, the pic was with Aurora. I don't think you can really bet on any specific princess being there unfortunately.
We are lucky in that my DD is not really attached to any one princess and was happy to meet them all, she actually really like Jasmine - and had never seen Aladdin lol

Ariel was there when we went in May too for breakfast. We also saw Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora and, of course, Belle. And, we thought it was a good breakfast too! We're doing it again in November!

the closing of Ariel's Grotto, Ariel and Prince Eric have been doing meet and greets at the the Adventureland Veranda (at the Adventureland bridge coming from the hub area). The Grotto meets were really good and usually required a bit of a wait. I don't know how this one is since we haven't been. I do understand that she's in her gown and not the flippers like at the Grotto. (Makes sense since Eric is there.)

Last trip we saw Ariel at CRT in her gown and at the Grotto in her flippers. My daughter had fun at both.

We also saw Ariel at CRT this past trip - but she's not guaranteed there either, I don't think.
