Do you and your SO ever have an argument or fight that is so loud you can't help but wonder what the neighbors must be thinking? LOL! :rolleyes1

My DH and I had a knock-down-drag-out argument this afternoon, and while it wasn't really a big deal at all, we were DEFINITELY yelling, and LOUDLY, and doors and cabinets were being slammed in the process. When it was all said and done, I was seriously embarassed and just waiting for the police to show up! :rotfl:

But now it has me wondering...

If one of us was being hurt or putting up a REAL fight, none of our neighbors would have even helped us! It seems they thought nothing of it!

Can't say that I have.. My late DH and I probably had 5 arguments - if that - in the 28 years we were married (30 years we were together).. I think we both had enough arguing in our previous marriages - LOL..

Now on the other hand, I heard a doozy next-door - very early this morning..:rolleyes1

Kiss and make up.. Never go to bed angry with each other..

:goodvibes Oh, we made up about half-way through the argument, we just needed to yell a bit I guess. We rarely fight, which is why I was embarassed.

I posted this because my neighbors are screaming at each other right now, and I wonder what is going on over there, because he seemed to be angry when he came home this afternoon, and I NEVER hear them fight EVER.

I am just wondering what my neighbors thought of us this afternoon!

My dh doesn't yell (drives me crazy). I can get pretty loud at times, but since he doesn't yell, my yelling never gets too out of control (it's hard to get into a loud verbal argument with someone who stays so calm).

The only way I would help a neighbor in this kind of situation is if I heard one yelling "no, please don't, stop" or something to that affect, that made me think there was something physical going on. If it just sounded like two people verbally fighting, I'd probably just turn down the tv and move closer to the window so I could get a good idea what they were fighting about, before I got on the phone to call my best friend to tell her all about it :rolleyes1

LOL! :rotfl: I am sure that is what my neighbors were doing then!

I'm glad you thought that was funny. I was a little worried you might get offended.

Seriously though, if the argument sounded like something physical was going on, I would do something. But if it just sounded like a fight between a husband and wife (and even the best of married couples argue), I wouldn't do anything to step in. Some people are just yellers and that doesn't mean that they are any more angry than the quiet ones, it just sounds like they are.

Heck no, that was hillarious! :thumbsup2

I guess I would be the same way!

So what were you arguing about - so we can take sides??? :lmao:

Seriously, I'm fortunate enough in my 2nd marriage that we can calmly debate/discuss our differences in things that directly RELATE to our problems.

OTOH, we get down-and-dirty, no-holds-barred, and yellin' during crazy "general" political/social discussions. May sound scary, but keeps us mentally challenged, on our toes, and doesn't damage our relationship. :goodvibes
