That isn't fair I hate it when companies lay off their employees and even MORE when they haven't been there long enough to benefit from it. Hope this isn't the case.... PD FLYING YOUR WAY!

He does heavy construction. He's been with them for many years.

That is really too bad. It doesn't sound like you were even aware it was going to happen. At least my DH was given a few months notice. But to be laid off unexpectedly is depressing. I hope some thing comes along real soon.
