Argh - I'm sure we aren't meant to do this trip!

I wouldn't worry too much at this stage. June half term is still quite a while away. We have been three times at that time of year and have only once booked by now. The first time we booked late Feb, second time not until mid march. It was only last years trip we booked as soon as the brochure was released because there was a 30% early booker discount.

I would expect that there will be another offer a few weeks after this one finishes but the standard package price won't change so even if another offer doesn't come along you won't have lost anything.:goodvibes

Thats awful! Is it only for April that they have increased? We're going in September but I haven't booked yet and starting to panic! I've just checked online and the price for NPB is still the same as it has been until now?

Hiya

Sorry to hear you're having these troubles :-( I'm sure there's nothing fated about it, and it is just isolated bad luck. (Doesn't help it seem less devastating though I know)

Remember that the June half term this year, has been set to coincide with the Queen's Jubilee. The Monday and Tuesday of half term are bank holidays, so people could have a 9 day break by just taking the Wed, Thur and Fri off. That's tempting whether you have kids or not. I think the interesting thing to note, is that the 30% sale price still applies to the week after half term, which leads me to think perhaps this is a deliberate ploy by Disney - either because they are genuinely filling up, or to panic people in to booking now. As a previous poster said, the standard package price isn't going to get any worse so the only risk of waiting is that you won't get in and that seems quite unlikely.

((hugs))

Irish site is giving this offer
Book early for arrivals in next summer season, you can save up to 30%(1) on your hotel* and park tickets.

Book by 15th February 2012 for arrivals between 29th March and 31st August 2012

Book by 30th April 2012 for arrivals between 1st September and 7th November 2012.

Plus, we offer free(2) hotel accommodation and park ticket to your kids under 7.

Did you try?

International site is giving 25 off and there's still one night free offer.

German site is giving 20 off.

I'd sit tight if I were you, we deliberated and missed the 40% off offer for our trip and then lo and behold a 50% deal came out. OK so you might not be so lucky, but I would be really surprised if they don't have another offer and as mentioned the standard package price isn't going to go up and I would be very very surprised if the hotel reached full occupancy.

Thanks all - you have made me feel much better .

I felt awful last night and then when the CM was so horrible today I felt like crying :sad2:. He was obviously annoyed because he said I'd been the 3rd call that day saying the discount had been pulled - whether that is true I don't know. He also said he expected there to be more calls like it today! :confused3

Isila - I have checked Ireland and French sites - Ireland was coming out at the same price now (pretty much). French site does have one day/night free but only on HNY - it is still more expensive than full price SL but only by about £100 so I'd probably look there if I get stuck I guess (but that still makes it around £600 more than I had budgeted for overall - plus £140 extra on flights to what I had originally seen!). I'm not doing too well - morale of the story - book when you see it (if you can, circumstances meant I couldn't sadly).

I think the thing is although they are advertising up to 30%, there are now no hotels offering that on that week.

I'll sit tight - feel better to do so now - thanks!

PS - I also agree that the hotel won't be full - I really feel the CM was scaremongering today which is awful.

Sometimes just unloading it all and sharing can make you feel calmer, I know it does me. Just to get it off my chest and know that people understand why I'm upset really helps.

 Keep in there, I'm sure it will work out.

Thanks for that - I see it was June you went. I suppose it was quiet and that is why it was discounted so much.

The CM told me that there may not be another offer on the June half term as "they don't need to offer the rooms at discounted rate as they know they can sell them without". But then he said he didn't know either way after that. One of those conversations where you go round in circles.... :lmao:

It was half term & very busy. It was a flash sale they were doing.

it might be worth checking the French version of the DLP site today - Carrie Cat on another thread has noticed they are having a 50% sale (like Voyage Prive). I don't know if it includes June dates yet though (I can't access the DLP site from work).

Hi Elaine - thanks so much for tip off but sadly it doesn't include that week. Not even sure what the offer is as I couldn't see it on there. They are still doing the one night free on selected hotels which is better than nothing but I'm going to hang fire now.

Coincidentally, the NPB is now showing 25% discount for the week we are going but I've been really put off it by reviews recently - particularly on tripadvisor - totally slated :scared1:. It does however give a little confidence that there is availability in hotels and we won't get stuck without a room like the CM said! :thumbsup2

I was going to check Voyage Prive but I'm not a member - think I might join if it's free though!
