I messed up and I know it. Splash Mt opens up on our last day of family vacation. Our window opened this week and I saw that we could get an early FP+ before our late afternoon flight. I made the mistake of asking others before I got the FP+s. They were there yesterday but gone today.

Kicking myself today

Is there any chance that some might open up if I check multiple times a day?

What is the day you are looking at and how early do you have to get?

If advance FPs for SM in the morning are selling out that far in advance, that would be a new and (at least to me) surprising development.

Is it possible that your trip is scheduled before Splash will reopen from the current refurb?

Good thing the system is only being tested right now...

Yesterday, they were available with the "button" to click. Today, the picture and words are faded and instead of the button, the words "Stand-by available" appears.

Hmmm..... maybe it wasn't me...... but I assumed they are all gone. The date is Saturday, 3/22, which is a busy time.

I thiought you could only get them 60 days out. Isn't that in a couple of more days still?

You can get for your entire FP+s when you are 60 days from the beginning of your vacation.

Keep trying! MDE has been very glitchy ever since MK went to Fp+ only and it is affecting Fp+ selections and ADR changes from both the website and app. I don't see MDE getting better until the changes are made for Epcot and DHS Fp+.

So, keep checking everyday, you do have plenty of time.

Try booking another attraction and then go in and change it to Splash.

I already have FP+s and am trying to change them to Splash Mt. Good idea, though!

So they are doing the +10 for Disney Resort Guests? Ah ha! I need to go find the poster who told me that would NEVER happen! Right now, I'm only able to see through the 20th but I haven't linked any new Disney Resort Reservation yet (I gained access to the system through previous reservations but because I have an AP, I still have access). Interesting.

Oh boy! I find ths scary. Not that one ride will make or break a vacation but what if you can't get any or most of what you want to ride when you want it if visiting during a peak period. Being forced to only have FP first thing in the morning or late at night or none at all would really impact our visit. This is the time period I'm considering booking. I need to renew my AP if I want to see what is available (or buy some other type of ticket and book te resort) but once I do that I would be unhappy if most of our choices weren't there.

Hmm, ths could start a new kid of thread. The "can anyone check March 24th for the availability of the 3 Mtns between 12-4". Lol:headache:

OP I would keep checking though, especially the morning of the date you want.

You could always go "soak up the atmosphere", that's just as good, right?

I thought we established here on the DIS that you should be happy just to breathe the sacred air of the Magic Kingdom. Apparently riding rides should not be important to a "true" Disney fan, because we all know you could go to Six Flags for that. ;)

:thumbsup2:

But seriously..... has anybody been able to book SM from 3/22-3/26-ish?

I'm wondering if the opening date is a problem.

I don't have a trip planned, but because I have an active Annual Pass I can book FP+ reservations up to 60 days out.

I just tried that and the latest day available to me is March 20. I went to make reservations for MK for that day, and Splash Mountain is grayed out with the note "closed for refurbishment".

I think this whole thing is related to the refurbishment and not to anything being booked already that far in advance. Maybe as some new days were released they made some mistakes with the classification of Splash Mountain.

BTW, to the OP, if you want to ride Splash early (assuming it is open) you shouldn't need a FP+ reservation for it. Because of all of the other things at MK that people do to at RD, and because a lot of people don't want to start their day getting wet, Splash doesn't develop long lines very quickly. Anytime in the first hour (at least) it should be a virtual walk on.

Well it's great that we won't have to log into MDE (at god knows what time here) everyday for a couple of weeks to secure our FP+ times, it also seems to create an issue that even 60 days out we might find the best ride times are already taken

I just got afternoon FP+s on the 22nd.

I feel like the secretary, Janine, in Ghostbusters..... "I GOT ONE!!!!!"
