So, I've been trying to decide where to eat on my birthday for dinner. I was trying to find something nice and different. Here's the problem...I've tried to do THREE restaurants and all have fallen through so now I'm back where I started, and looking for new suggestions. We originally decided on Artist Point, then looked at the menu and decided we didn't really want to go there. Then I was going to CRT even though we've been there because DH loved their filet so much - the new menu doesn't have the filet, so that was out. Then I was excited about Citrico's and had my ADR, but it's a Monday, and they aren't open on Mondays.

Now I'm back at square one. We will be in MK that day, so I want something around MK or the surrounding resorts. Now I'm trying to decide if I should just go with LTT or CP even though we've been there before and they aren't exactly the ambience I was going for...I know the food is good.

Suggestions?

How about Narcoossee's at the GF? If you take the launch from MK, it doxks very close to the restaurant. It is right at the edge of the lagoon so you can get a very good view of everything.

I would second Narcossee's. It is expensive though. For a special birthday dinner it would be really nice.
For something a little different you might try 'OHana. It is very family oriented, however, and fairly noisy, so it may not have the amience you are seeking. We (3 adults) ate here in October and we enjoyed it very much. We were seated by the window and watched both the Electrical Water Pageant and Wishes as we finished up.
Happy Birthday and enjoy!

If you have a park hopper pass, I would consider Le Cellier for dinner. The food is great and you can ride the monorail to epcot.

Narcossees' would be a good fit for what you want and it is very good dinning. :earsboy:

We're staying at MK that day (we have APs so we could park hop, but on my birthday, I want to spend it in MK) and we're eating at LeCellier a couple days before that.

Narcoossee's or the California Grill. We had dinner at the CG for my last two B'days and it was fabulous!!!

We did Narcoossee's for our first anniversary (and will be there again for our 2nd anniversary) and we found the food and service to be excellent!!!

What about the California Grill? It is just a monorail ride away from the MK, and it has a terrific ambiance for a birthday celebration. My DH and were there for his birthday on Tuesday night and had a great time. They pipe Wishes into the restuarant, and you can see the electrical water pageant too.

I agree with everyone above! They all make great suggestions... Having stayed at both the Contemp and GF, They are both great. I would suggest Narcoosies. The setting is great being right on the water of the SSL. Also, I dont know if they have this anymore but at narcoosies, they used to have the seven seas seven scooper ice cream platter. It was 7 scoops of ice cream with pound cake at the bottom. HEAVEN and a great birthday desert for everyone. Concourse is also good and a short trip away. Good LUck 2 you sunny04 and happy birthday!!!
