Hi

We will be travelling with a group of 10 to Europe in June, staying in Paris for 3 days and some of us would like to visit Disneyland for a day. I would like to find a hotel near the RER train that travels to Disneyland. This way some of us can continue to site-see and some of us can take the day-trip to Disney. Is there an area that would be good? Close to the train?

Thanks in advance!
Gina

The metro system links up with the RER so its easy to get to from anywhere
Have a look at this map and you can see where the RER stops in central Paris (there are several more stops after it leaves Central Paris)
The line you are looking at is RER A - the red line running through the centre (DLP is at Marne la Vallee (5H on the map )

We are presently staying at Hotel Astrid in Paris. One block from the Charles De Gaulle metro and RER station and a few blocks from the Arc de Triomphe. Very nice, reasonable hotel with good free wi if and free breakfast. Going to DLP tomorrow, straight shot from here.

If you're willing not to stay in Disney's hotels (presumably for saving huge $$$), I would suggest you consider the Adagio Val d'Europe. Only one stop from DLP, and one of the DLP partnering hotels!

If they are only spending a day in DLP and the rest in Paris the 45+ min transit morning and night back to the Adagio won't be that practical ;)

If I were to enjoy DLP for a day, I would definitively choose a hotel nearby for the night after going into the park. Commuting 1hr+ after park closure is definitively not the best experience!
