We will be arriving at CBR on the 3rd of Dec. We have heard how large of a place it is. Is there a "best" area of the hotel to stay? Can we request an area? Would like to be near bus pick up and poss. food court. Don't know the names of the areas so if anyone can help.......

:sunny: We usualy stay at Martinique at the Caribbean Beach.::MickeyMo When you get to the Custom House you can ask if there are any available room in that section. Building 25 is nice. It wakling distance to Port Royale and the bus stop is not far away. Martinique is to the left of Old Port Royale and Trinidad North is to the right. In Trinidad building 32 is a good spot. :sunny: The rest are not close to Old Port Royal which is the food court. You will have a wounderful time. The main pool is great. Have Fun and say hi to Micky for me. :Pinkbounc :bounce:

We stayed in Jamaica for 3 nights before our cruise. Not far from buses--close to "beach." It was really wonderful. My partner and I would hang out in the hammocks on the beach late at night and listen to the Calypso music, with a lovely view of Epcot's lights. We just LOVED it. It was a wonderful way to begin our cruise vacation. We're going again this time, but only for one night. One is better than none...

happy sailing

We stayed in Martinique while at CBR. Any "island" would have been okay. It is one of my favorite hotels at Disney. I have stayed at many different hotels but preferred CBR even over The Grand Floridian. :earsgirl:

Another Martinique fan here! Check out my web site, check out both sections on CBR. It's a beautiful resort :sunny:

P.S. Did you post this here on the cruise boards by accident, or are you doing the cruise and staying at CBR on the same trip? Wish I was going to CBR soon, I love that resort. Have a great time! :wave2:

Is your stay a CBR part of a land/sea package? If so, and especially if you are using the Disney transportation to port, there may only be certain areas where they will put you. When we were there last April, I was told that for cruise passengers they place everyone in Barbados, Aruba, or Jamaica. We were in Aruba, which I liked because it was a little quieter than Martinique, although a longer walk to Port Royale and the main pool (which I didn't mind). Although, next time I would request Jamaica. I liked that it too is quieter than Martinique since it's across the bridge from Port Royale, but it is a little closer to Port Royale and the main pool.

:wave2: We did the land and sea and they let us stay at Martinique. I want to be near Port Royle. Also, if you are doing the land and sea that is were you meat. I think if you ask for a specific place they will put you there (if possible). Disney want to please you.:earsboy: :earsboy: :wave2:

Yes, this is part of our land and sea package. Looks like most of you enjoyed the Martinique section. Is it ture that you are all lumped into certin areas if you are on the land and sea package? Since we are going in Dec. I don't know how much use I will get from the beaches and do plan to do the park thing alot. We do have 3 kids in our group under the age of 6 so wanted to make walking limited. Thanks for all the wonderful input!

We also have two 17 yr. old boys with us and that is why I also wanted to be near the food court. They always seem to be hungry.

:bounce: I don't think so. When we all meet at old port royal to get the but to the boat:boat: I did not remember seeng the people there.:earsgirl: :bounce: :bounce: :earsboy:
Have a great time.
