Surely a place like Baliwas targeted because they were making a statement like "nowhere is safe--we'll put terror even into the most peaceful places far away from you".
So sad. Glad to see the FBI is there. I heard 2 Americans were killed and it was mostly people from Austrailia who were killed and hurt. I thought I heard Al Queda has taken responsibility.
Yes, it is scary.

Worrying and concern are fruitless to me. I've never lived in a "safe" environment in my life so I can't concern myself about losing it. We have to live our lives to survive, not just to live, it's just the way it's always been for me.

RobinRS I know what you say is true. Life for me has never been like that so this is all so new to me. Always seeing the news about Israel was scary to me but it was "far away". Of course, my concern for Israel has changed as I have gotten older.
But, even here at home, in cities like where you grew up, growing up was much different. It is very foreign to me. It makes one look at the world so differently.

I agree with EROS and Robinrs.

We can't live in a sterile environment. There will always be danger and risk; that's all part of living.

I could very well be hit by a driver coming the wrong way on the interstate on my way home tonight.

So I agree that we should live each day to the fullest, but also be careful, and not take any UN-necessary risks. But we should not live in fear.
