Are you waiting on ROFR?

Noticed so many posts about those anxiously waiting on ROFR and I remember all too well the feeling.

Thank you for your warm thoughts. We are 8 days into ROFR..... really hope it ends soon! All these new posts about the ROFR's happening are making me nervous! Pretty sure we'll pass - I was thinking we had paid too much until I started seeing these threads! Thanks again.....

We are seven days into our ROFR and our agent says there are five people ahead of us that have been submited and not sent back yet. I'm getting anxious to see whether those clear or not. I'm bothered by the fact that I can't get on the waitlist until I know on this because they want a credit card to guarantee it immediately and I don't want to end up with two properties. We're now 11 days in on our 150 point VWL contract and keeping all fingers and toes crossed that we'll make it past the ROFR monster DVD has become this week. At $74 a point and with us reimbursing 161 (11 banked and 150 August points) points worth of MF and paying all closing costs, I also thought we were overpaying, but am now worried, along with everyone else! This is nervewracking!

Wow...I agree...yours sounds like it may not be worth DVC's time to take it!! I really wouldn't worry if I were you (I know that is hard)...I bet you get yours!!!

I know DIZNEYFAN is and we just lost ours to ROFR and nuthut just lost one and there are a few people sitting on pins and needles at this time waiting to see. Hopefully some people get theirs.

Probably one day into ROFR...thanks for the support....I saw on another post we do need a support group probably for the next month or so....
I was just curious...how many people will still buy from DVC since they raised the price 5.00???
We already have 300 points at SSR,so I think if we get ROFR'd we will just stay where we are. The original intent was to buy the resale then sell on eof the SSR contracts....

I got a call form the closing company yesterday, and we're officially into ROFR. We were sent over to Disney on Thursday. I hope I make it through, but if not, I'll just keep trying!

We are working with Disney directly now and have been put on the list for 150 at BWV. I don't care about the 5 bucks extra a point for the security of knowing we don't have to deal with the ROFR anymore.

Belle3, we're waiting on ROFR on a VWL listing. If we don't pass ROFR, we're going to stick with our 2 BVW contracts (which isn't a bad thing to be "stuck" with). Our intent was also to sell one of the BWV contracts if we get the one for VWL. I'd have a hard time paying Disney $89 pp when my contract was only for $71.xx per point. If DH and I were ever to buy through Disney, it would have to be in much smaller amounts (100 - 150 points).

What does this mean, please, and why is it a problem now? I'm trying to learn the lingo and understand what's going on before we buy!
