Nope, not in the least little bit. I don't care if a black cat crosses my path, I will walk under a ladder, if a mirror breaks it's just broken glass to pick up and throw away, Friday the 13th is just another day...etc...etc...
I will go out of my way not to walk under a ladder and I can't resist throwing salt over my shoulder when I spill it. Used to be scared of black cats until I got one. Shes pure black.
nope, not at all. I used to not like Friday the 13th cause it just seems that I always got a parking ticket on that day. So I solved that problem by not driving.
No, I'm not superstitious but my grandmother was just awful about them. Odd ones, too--no hats on the bed, no shoes on the dresser, no opening an umbrella in the house. She scared me so badly when I opened an umbrella inside at the age of 5 that I still can't open one in the house.
I'm not really superstitious like that, but I've been known to cast spells (good ones!) when appropriate (like I won't do it during the "void-of-course" moon) and carry around a piece of rose quartz.
OK am I the only one so far that is super superstitious???
I will not sit at table 13 at any restaurant. I frequently go to a Thai restaurant and the waitress knows not to put me there as I will ask to be moved.
I have two cats and one is mainly black, but I would not agree to get him until I saw that he has white paws and a white chest.
I do not open umbrella's in the house
I do not sing or listen to Christmas music outside of the months the holidays are supposed to be listened to - an angel dies when you sing songs outside of the holidays ( my mother told me that when I was young)
I do not schedule flights, parties, trips that go over a Friday the 13th.
I do not walk under ladders - this is more because I am afraid it will fall on me rather then for bad luck
Other then that I am perfectly normal--except for my disney addiction of course

OMG! My Grandpa scared me to death when I was 5 for opening an umbrella in the house! I'll never forget it! Then right after that I broke the knob off of the TV and I was sure it was the beginning of my bad luck!
Okay--the shoes on the dresser thing. I remember when I was little, I was going to take a nap at Nana's house. My mom took my shoes off and put them on the chest of drawers next to the bed so I couldn't reach them. My grandmother had a hissy fit because if you put shoes on the dresser, someone will die. Just the same as putting a hat on the bed.
So--that is why you'd put shoes on the dresser. To keep the 3 year old from playing with them when she's supposed to be napping.
