Are You Ready for Some Fantasy Baseball?

It's that time of year again! The players have reported to MLB camps in Florida and Arizona which means it's almost time for us to play some fantasy baseball.

We had a good time last year and I've taken the liberty of setting up a Yahoo Fantasy Baseball league with the same parameters as last season for any DIS members who'd like to play. I hope to see many returning players from last season but I want to extend an invitation to anyone here who'd like to play. We're a casual league; no money is involved. Just for fun. Even if you've never played before but think you'd like to test the fantasy baseball waters, I'm happy to give advice and directions.

If you're interested in playing, send me a PM and I'll get you the details you'll need to register. If you don't have one already, you'll need to set up a Yahoo! account. Also, post your interest in this thread--and the MLB team you root for. That's always fun to know!

Last call for anyone who's interested in joining our fantasy baseball league. Our draft is this Sunday evening.

I hope that many of our managers can draft live on Sunday; if not please pre-rank your players. Remember that it's a 6x6 league with OPS and Holds as the extra categories so pre-rank and draft accordingly. Be sure to test your system prior to the draft so there are no surprises. Draft order will be randomly assigned by Yahoo! as the draft room opens Sunday evening.

As of right now, we cannot draft tomorrow because we have an odd number of teams. We need a tenth manager to even things up for H2H. Looking for one more player.

The draft is on for tonight! We have our tenth manager and an even number of teams so I have capped the max teams at ten.

As we have several new managers this season, I have lost track of who's who. I would like to ask everyone to list their DIS user name in the "Smack Talk" box over on the Yahoo! team site so that we can keep track.

The draft has been completed. We had only four managers in the room drafting live with six on autopick. I hope that everyone has had a chance to look at their team.

I had received a PM from one of our managers that he was having difficulty accessing the league just prior to the draft and do not know if he was able to get in or not. Did any other managers encounter the same technical issue with Yahoo! or were you just not able to live draft at that time?
