Are you Push?? Our sister trip around the World - COMPLETED 6/13!

You guys got so much done so quickly in the water park! Awesome!

Aww what adorable Pooh Bear pictures! Great job!

What a strange thing for that guy to do at LM! Maybe he thought it was a ride until the last minute lol!

Did you decide on the Canon T3?? If you got it how do you like it!??

Yes!!!! Thanks for your wonderful recommendation :) I love it so far. I've just been playing around with it but when I get home from work I'll have to post a good picture of my doggie that I took!

Sounds like a really fun day at the water park and then a great time at DHS! I love Rock n Rollercoaster... I wish I could just teleport myself there once a day to get my fix.

It was definitely weird. Maybe he was waiting for someone trying to kill time :confused3 I'm so weird, whenever I see stuff like that I make up a million scenarios in my head! Haha I'm strange like that.

That would be fantastic!!

I actually got out of work before the sun went down today, so I will post an update before we head out to dinner tonight!

I forgot to post some of our Photopass pics in the last update! On this day, we wore some of our shirts that we made...they say "keep calm and think Disney"...even though you can't see it that well!

Anyway, I do really love all the special effects to VOTLM, like the “underwater” segments and the part with the puppets. After the show, we decided to walk through the Streets of America to the backlot and try the tour.

DSCN1568_zps41dbdd9e.jpg

On the way, we checked the line for Mike and Sully because they are our FAVORITES!! Mike was just going in, so we waited a few minutes for Sully. I would have liked to get both of them, but oh well! I’ll take what I can get.

Photo0535FourBySix_zps3cb73afb.jpg

Thanks for the hug Sully!

We checked the line for the Backlot and it was half an hour, so we decided against it. It was getting close to dinnertime, but we weren’t quite hungry yet, so we stopped in to see our favorite Muppets! But on the way, we stopped for another fun photo op!

Photo0541FourBySix_zps9215abe7.jpg

Muppet's vision was so cute as always! It’s always such a classic! After the Muppets, we decided to hit up our favorite DHS dining location...
DSCN1571_zpsed34d776.jpg

Pizza Planet! I know the food isn’t spectacular here, but I looooove the theming! Apparently this place closes early (maybe 6:30? I can’t remember, but I know that if we’d decided to wait much longer we wouldn’t have made it). Jess had a pepperoni pizza and I had cheese, both with a salad.

DSCN1576_zps0192d48a.jpg

I had the cupcake (cappuccino think?) and Jess had a cookie.

DSCN1577_zps75b4ad78.jpg

We spent some time on the phone catching up with my mom and when we were done, it was around 7:00. We decided to try to hit up Tower of Terror again! The standby was 30 minutes and we decided to jump in line. We usually don’t wait that long but the line didn’t look bad! We took the wait to snap some pics! We're usually running by...

This was my favorite pic! The low light caused a blur and I just thought it was so fitting for Tower or Terror!

Here's her real "scared face"
DSCN1583_zps39bd06aa.jpg

We walked right into the TV room, and then there was some wait once we got through there. There was the CUTEST little girl in front of us. She *just* made the height requirement but she was so brave and adorable. She rode the whole thing with her hands up! So cute. We were done the ride by 7:35, so I don’t think the wait was really 30 minutes, especially since it’s a fairly long ride.

The park was due to close at 8 so I figured we’d try one more time to get on TSM - the wait only said 30 minutes, so we jumped in line! I have never ridden this ride (it just never worked out) and I was soooo excited!

DSCN1586_zps8f132818.jpg

This sign was behind a closed area - I wonder what they're doing back there??

I LOVE LOVE LOVE  the theming of this ride so much! I really feel like I'm in Andy's room.

We made it through the queue in about 20 minutes - mainly due to the fact that Fantasmic was pulling all the crowds I'm sure. What did I think? I LOVED IT. I can't believe I've never been on it, now I know what all the hype is about!! From now on, it's going to be my very first stop at DHS every time!

We were finished at around 8:05 before Fantasmic was getting out, so we slowly made our way out of the park, taking pictures as we went.

And of course some evening PP!
Photo0553FourBySix_zpsa03f8863.jpg

We made it back to the hotel around 8:40, and decided to go for a swim in Big Blue since it was so early. We could actually see some of the really high fireworks from Epcot from the pool. That was really really cool. We made it back to the room in time to watch Honey ****oo (HA! I made Jess watch it every night). And hit the hay, because we had an early morning coming up

Great day at DHS!
I love making shirts for trips; you always get to wear what you want that way!!
I have never eaten at Pizza Planet. That has to be some kind of sin, I think. I cannot believe my kids haven't forced us to eat there yet...maybe they just haven't noticed it:confused3.
ToT--That little girl is braver than I am! Good for her!
I do like TSM. I waited a few years before riding it, but now I know what the hype is about! SO FUN!
I can't wait to swim in the Big Blue Pool at night in less than six months!!

Cute shirts! I need to meet the Monsters Inc characters!!

I am so glad you like the camera!!

Love the shirts! So cute.
Sully!! My favourite too! I need to meet him some day.
Wow, I can't believe that was your first time on TSM! I love that ride :thumbsup2

Your shirts are so cute!

So jealous that you got to meet Sully! Only Mike was meeting on our HS day :(

Awesome score on such a short wait time for TSMM!

I keep meaning to post the cute picture I took of Oscar with my new camera...I'll do it now. I'm taking a photo class with my Dad in May to learn how to actually use it! Ha

Love the shirts! So cute.

I can't believe it either - now I can't wait to ride again!

Thank you! I was really excited about the short wait time too :goodvibes

Photobucket is being stupid and half my pictures aren't showing!! Hopefully they will fix themselves later...

Thursday was a very early day for us! The alarm went off at 6:45 and we had a quick breakfast in our room before heading out. We were at the bus stop at 7:45 for MK morning EMH - our favorite day of every trip! We did have to wait a long time for the bus and we were worried we would miss it, but we arrived just in time for the welcome show.

DSCN1611_zps3ce5a9b2.jpg

This really makes me tear up whenever I watch it. I used my flipcam to video tape it this time and then we were off into the park!

DSCN1620_zpsa24e7505.jpg

Beautiful crane...

Before I go any further I should mention - this was one of the two days that we got to try Fastpass+! We had gotten picked for the trial before we left and we were able to pre-reserve FP for Space, Pooh, Splash and ??? throughout the morning. I know we got 4 but I can't remember what the last one was! Hmm...maybe we only did 3?? In any case, it worked out really well, especially because we could use it in conjunction with "standard" Fastpass - so we hardly waited for a thing all day!

We made our way down Main St. and hung a right as we headed towards Tomorrowland.

DSCN1624_zps6b79028c.jpg

The first ride of the day was...Space! We walked right on and had a jarring ride...Jess loves this ride but I would be fine with riding once. We decided the rest of the Tomorrowland attractions could wait until later and we head over to Fantasyland.

DSCN1632_zps65e869ba.jpg

We picked up a Peter Pan fastpass then we decided to grab some breakfast. First, Jess had to try out the sword!
DSCN1633_zps28731e0a.jpg

In hindsight, we should have waited until morning EMH was over, but all well - the crowds were low all day. We walked through the castle onto Main St!

DSCN1621_zpse41fb47a.jpg

I went to the bakery and got a HUGE cinnamon roll (which I didn't take a picture of on my regular camera!) I think Jess had brought some granola bars with her or something, I don't remember her getting anything. But of course she shared with me because that thing was MASSIVE! I text a picture to my friend at work who shares my affinity for sweets and she was thoroughly jealous! We then head to the Town Square (Is this what it's called? It's wherever the princess and Mickey/Minnie M&G is??) to apply for Disney Visa cards! We saw a sign on the bus for a free $100 gift card when you applied for the premier so we figured, why not? We went in and were both approved right away...she let us choose our cards and then gave us each a $100 gift card, woohoo! Unfortunatley we had to pick up the actual credit card in DTD, so we wouldn't be able to use them right away (not that we needed to anyway, since we both already had gift cards for tips/shopping/etc...), but we couldn't do the special M&G in Epcot that afternoon. Oh well!

By now it was about 9:00am so we head over to the just-open Frontierland and jumped onto Splash! There was no wait at this time in the morning so we walked right on, then picked up a FP for BTTMR. Apparently I didn't take pictures over here :confused3 We head back over to Fantasyland to use our PP fastpasses - I love this ride, but I never understood why it gathers as big of a wait as it does. In any case, it's super cute! We decided to finish out the rest of Fantasyland and ride Pooh, but it was down - bummer! Since we were standing right there and had yet to see it, we head into Philharmagic. This is one of my favorite MK attractions - I love the music and the 3D/4D effects, it's so cute! I could watch it 1,000x. By the time we came out, Pooh was up and running again so we used our FP+ for the first time. They just tapped the card onto the Mickey RFID readers at the front, then again before we got on. It seemed to work well. This was my first time riding Pooh and it was really cute! Maybe not a "must-do" every time and I wouldn't wait for more than a couple minutes for it but it was very cute and I enjoyed it. The last thing we haden't yet conquered in Fantasyland?

DSCN1640_zpse5f44695.jpg

Small World of course! There was no wait so we hopped right on. This ride embodies WDW to me :) We also spent some time looking for Hidden Mickey's. While we were riding we decided we would have to try out Pinocchio's Harbor House at some point because it was cool that it overlooked the ride. Would we get a chance to eat there??

Sounds like another good waterpark experience! And DHS day too! Love the brave little girl on ToT! It always makes me a little worried to see super small kids on the ride, but usually there all "I wanna go again!" afterwards.

We were at MK that morning! But just for the rope drop show as we had missed it the previous day! Then we were off to AK. I love the cinnamon rolls! So big! Yum!

I'm so glad someone else did a sister trip! Aren't they the greatest?! :lovestruc

I'm having a great time reading your report - it looks like you and Jess had a lot of fun. I'm jealous that you saw the MK Welcome Show - despite my many trips to the World, I've never seen it! Hopefully one of these times...

I love the RD show and I'm not gonna lie, I teared up during it too!

How awesome that you got to test out FP+ and glad it worked out well for you!

Too funny that you were there too! I was worried about the little girl too. I know Disney is overly precautious with safety but I'm always thinking - shes so little, she's going to get hurt!! Even though I know that will never happen - I'm gonna be a mess with my own kids!

Yes, they are the best! Thanks for reading :) And you definiteley need to make it to the morning show! The music is the best - I listed to it on Four Parks all the time :goodvibes

Yes, I loved it! Hopefully when it finally rolls out it's the same - FP+ and FP at the same time, but I've been hearing rumors that it's not going to be like that. :sad1:

Hello all! I finally remember to post this adorable picture of Oscar that I got with my new camera!

IMG_0018_zpsb0c5edb7.jpg

A few weeks ago I got my first dSLR (thanks to the recommendation of a fabulous Disser! :goodvibes), and I'm taking a class in a few weeks - I'm so excited to take it to the parks with me! I probably won't bring it every day as I don't want to be totally tied down by it, but one day in each park should suffice, and then the other days will just be my iPhone and Photopass+ :goodvibes

I am trying to get this TR done by April 17th because I'm going a fab vacation to the Dominican Republic with my sister (duh) and my mom for 5 days :beach: It's much needed after the tax craziness at work and I can't wait. But when I get back I want to be able to jump into my PTR for my October trip! And I'm sooooo excited because yesterday marked the start of my 7th month DVC window and we are booked for four nights at...............BEACH CLUB!! pixiedust:

I am beyond excited because I never thought we would be able to get BCV during food and wine. We have a two bedroom from Oct 26-30th with my DH, sister, sister's DBF, my mom and dad! And then Jess and I are staying another 4 nights in a studio savannah view at Kidani (which I can book this weekend). Woohoo! So I've already done the majority of my planning for parks per day, budget, flights are booked...so I have a lot to share with all of you.

Hope you'll stick around as I finish out the last 2.5 days of this report! :cool1:

AHHHH!!! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it!! I'm so glad you got a dslr and will be learning how to use it; Brandon says he's going to train me on his, but we'll see .

I've never been to Dominican Republic, but I know so many people love it there. In fact, one of my friend's parents loved it so much they bought a house there and now go whenever they want! (Must be nice :rolleyes1.)

BEACH CLUB! Beach Club was literally in my dream last night. Sad, I know...especially since we've never stayed there :lmao:! I'm not sure about what the rest of the dream was about, but I distinctly remember looking up lovingly at that building.

Sometimes I think I might have a Disney obsession or something...

And you know that OF COURSE I will be sticking around for the rest of the days, silly!!

By now it was around 11 and we had finished up Fantasyland, so we head over to Liberty Square. We got in the "extended" line for Haunted Mansion which was maybe a 5 or 10 minute wait.

DSCN1643_zps338b802a.jpg

Also - this is apparently the day we wore our tye-died Mickey head shirts!! We made these ourselves and they came out really good!

DSCN1644_zps334bf889.jpg

I know we were letting people pass us so we could play with the interactive queue. It was the first time I've seen it, it's definitely neat!

DSCN1649_zps8750fd88.jpg

We got into the stretching room and then the mad crush of people waiting to board the doom buggies..I really wish they would change this - I hate getting pushed all around and I really feel like it's dangerous. Anywho, I love this ride and I appreciate it more every time I go with all the small details.

We skipped HOP for the moment and head back over to Frontierland because we had some FPs coming due! First we used our regular FP for BTTMR. This ride is always just "meh" for me. I'm always anticipating a "drop" or thrill and it never really comes. The theme is excellent though and I'm dying to try it at night. We then had a FP+ for Splash so we head on over again for another quick ride, then went back to Liberty Square for some lunch at Columbia Harbor House! The lines weren't too bad. I think we both went for the chicken nuggets and fries, shocker. I had some chocolate cake for dessert and I don't remember what Jess had.

DSCN1653_zps3d225dd9.jpg

I had wanted to get the shrimp or fish but I couldn't pass up those delicious nuggets. Next time I'll try the fried shrimp! I've never been to CHH before and I enjoyed the theming. We had a relaxing lunch and talked about our game plan for the rest of the day.We decided that now would be a good time to finish up in Tomorrowland since we had another FP about to come due.

Our first stop in Tomorrowland was to grab a FP for Buzz, one of my favorites! We then used our FP+ for Space. Riding Space right after lunch =bad idea. Yuck. Also, I'm never sitting in the back again! You get really roughed up back there. I needed to settle my stomach after that so we jumped on our favorite Tomorrowland attraction - the People Mover!

Classic People Mover pic!
DSCN1659_zpsb46a23c8.jpg

We had a few minutes before our Buzz FP was due so we head into the Laugh Floor, another one of my favorites! Monsters, Inc. is one of my favorite Disney movies and I love this attraction. "That guy" was really into it. By the time we were done, it was time for Buzz! Jess doesn't like this ride because she gets frustrated by the gun (which I agree, is kind of annoying because you can't really see what you're shooting), but I think it's fun and I love it. I don't remember who won! When we came out, we decided to do something else new - Carousel of Progress! We waited a few minutes and then they let us in. I really thought this was neat and even though it's old and not technically "impressive" anymore, I can see how at the time it would have been really advanced. I love "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" (and now it's stuck in my head!) and it's a nice cool place to relax for a little while.

We had ended up staying at MK a little longer than we intended to, and at around 2:00 we decided to head back to Art of Animation to relax for a little while before dinner. On our way out, we stopped for some Photopass pictures of course!
Photo0581FourBySix_zps2f4dc4d4.jpg
Love this, except for the crane in the background!!

Jess cheesin' it up for a magic shot
Photo0578FourBySix_zpsce4281fa.jpg

And I had some more but of course Photobucket is crapping out...so I'll have to stop there!

We then stopped at the Emporium to browse a little bit. We jumped on the bus and were back to the hotel around 3:00. I bought a soda at Landscape of Flavors (I didn't want to walk all the way back to get my mug and then back to LOF again). We changed and head down to the Flippin Fins pool to try it out! It's a pretty small and basic pool but you're in the middle of LM so it's neat. We stayed for about half an hour and head back to our room around 3:40 to change for a special dinner! At 4:00, we head out to grab a bus to Epcot. One came fairly quickly and we arrived at Epcot by 4:30, with some time before our dinner. We grabbed a Soarin' FP on the way through the World Showcase. We took our time strolling (also because Jess was wearing a polyster shirt and was sweating to death) and we arrived right at 4:55 for our ADR at...Chefs le France!

Sorry I posted between your updates, LOL! I didn't realize you were posting two!:rotfl2:

Okay, so now about this one...
I have always wanted to try tie-dying the Mickey Head shirts for my whole family, but I've always been too scared I'd mess it up. Then I was going to order some from a lady on Etsy, and her shop was shut down due to copyright crap. Ugh! Maybe it's just not meant to be for us :(. Yours turned out GREAT! Maybe I should hire you!!

CHH is our favorite quick service. It was our first, after all! I'm like you--I always want to try something different, then don't. For me, it's the fish. And for Brandon, it's the shrimp. Gah, that place is yummy!

I agree about Space sitting in the back. BIG no-no. And I also agree that once per trip is enough. I may even be okay with skipping it altogether :scared1:.

I would never skip Peoplemover, though! Love it!

I'm ready to hear all about your dinner! I haven't booked it yet for our next trip, but I am really considering it. It would be something new and different.
