Are You planning a trip to Disneyland in December?

We'll be there from Dec. 15-22 at HOJO's. 5 of us, 2 parents and our 3 boys (8,11,14).

Can't decide whether to get a 6 day or a 5 day. Is it worth it to go to the Medieval nights?

Ok, it looks like I am the only one not staying at HoJo's the week I am there. I have never stayed there. What kind of rates are people paying? I will be there the 12th through 16th of Dec.

We are going the same exact time as you. On the 13-16 we are paying $69/night + tax for 2 queens overlooking the garden pool with the entertainment rate. I am not sure how much we are paying for the 12th off the top of my head. I know it is 20% off the normal rate for that night. It is $336.60 for the 4 nights including tax! :thumbsup2
We have never stayed there before but are excited!

I'm flying over from Oz and will be there 20th to 26th of December! Staying at the Anaheim Marriott!! :cool1: I'm so excited!!!!

Then onto San Fran for 5 nights and LA for 4 nights!!

Just booked our trip today!!! December 16 - 19 staying at the GCH!!! :santa:

December 17th is my birthday, so I'm excited about getting my birthday fun card, since we are AP holders I won't need the free admission.

We went last year for my birthday too, and it POURED for three days straight! :scared1: Here's hoping for better weather this time!

Slight change of plans for our trip! Thanks to the extended 4/3 deal at WDW, we are going to stay at the Poly for 7 days instead! :woohoo:

I keep going back and forth between being excited to see all the new Christmas sights at WDW, and missing the familiar ones at DLR. I'll miss the lobby at the Grand, and the HMH the most!

But we've never stayed at the Poly before so I'm super excited about that! And I can't wait to see the gingerbread house at the GF! :santa:

We hope to make it back to DLR before our annual passes expire in July - I'm sure I'll be dying for some SoCal time by then!! ;)

Have fun everyone!

Oh heck as much as I love DL at Christmas, if given the choice I would choose WDW. I want to see the Osborn Lights and all the gingerbread houes

The hassle factor of flying these days greatly impacts my travel plans. I really hate being treated like cattle. Though driving 4-5 hours from my home to DLR poses its hassles, it takes less time than home to Fresno Air Terminal, to LAX, to DLR, plus no airport cattle herding treatment. Can't say when I'll get back to WDW, as much as I really enjoy WDW.

We had to bump our trip a week up, so now we are going during Thanksgiving week. Crazy I know, but work schedules conflict at our new jobs. We are staying at the DLH.

You can take me off the list...we had to cancel our trip :sad1:

:sad2: very sad for you....ours is hanging in the balance at this point...have not cancelled, but hubby's workplace may be having another protracted shut down. Last one was 6 and a half months. We still managed a cheap trip then, but are thinking we will just cancel if it happens this time. It's getting hard walking around or doing anything with all my fingers and toes crossed... ;)
I wish the economy would just bloody well pick up and get moving again!

It's going to be amazing!! what a treat that will be to be there then! I'm jealous!

I am thinking about getting the annual pass. Does anyone know what the rates are for any of the Disney hotels PP, DH, GC Dec 13-16?
THANKS
Jen

So far, for those dates for a standard room:
PP: $149.
DLH: $159.
GC: $239.

View rooms are 20 more a night for DLH and 40 more a night for both PP and GC.

Concierge is:
PP: $306.
DLH: $289, but not available on the 13th
GC: $419.

the rates may or may not drop as the date gets closer, you can keep checking and call them back if it does change to get the new better price. You do have to have your annual pass when you check in, or a print out that shows you've paid from online :)
