In NYC the cops have these boxes strapped to their legs which I assume are the radiation detectors...the National Guard is back in the Port AUthority and many more cops on the streets.

I fly out this afternoon... should be interesting....

Just outside of NYC, cars and vans are being randomly pulled over and searched at bridge and tunnel checkpoints as of this morning.

DH works for a state law enforcement agency and received alert instructions on Tuesday. In the past he never received anything specific. Although unlikely to encounter anything due to his general work area and duties it seemed a little scarier than usual that he actual received some sort of directive.

Of course that could just be the fact we now have a woman running things in Michigan! Ok, just trying to find a little levity in all of this. Don't mean to offend anyone.

I work for the State of Georgia and we got an email this morning telling us they were bringing in a uniformed, armed deputy to patrol things here.

...but I'm sure if I took the short ride to Seabrook,NH I'd see plenty.
