I'm just making chocolate fudge. That's the only candy I ever make and the only recipe I know I can't mess up. :p

Are you making candy this holiday season? If so, what kind?

Want to share some? :p ;)

DW makes LOTS of stuff

Fudge, brownies, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, buckeyes, lemon bars, rice krispie treats, sugar cookies, chocolate lollipops..

She goes to the chocolate store and buys green & red colored chocolate..:)

Saffron:
If you make the Fantasy Fudge kind, with chocolate chips and marshmallow cream, here's a easy way to vary that, especailly if you are successful with this kind.

Vary the kind of chips used. Favorites here are peanut butter and chocolate mint. Also try using white choclate chips and add chopped candied red and green cherries. Some chips come in 10 oz bags instead of 12, but either add a but more from another bag, or else you will just have a creamier fudge. EASY!!!

Easy chocolate covered peanuts

12 oz bag of chocolate chips

1 tablespoon peanut butter

4 cups cocktail peanuts

Melt chips and pnut butter in microwave on medium or over a double boiler.

Stir in nuts

Drop by teaspoons onto wax paper

let harden several hours before storing

divinity fudge....without nuts.......I also love peanut butter fudge without nuts......I do have a recipe for peanut brittle without the nuts......do you follow me so far???????

I bought a pretty heart-shaped candy mold from Pampered Chef with a design of the earth and two doves on it. I haven't tried it yet, but my plan is to melt some white chocolate and dye it green for the leaves and the land part of the earth, use white chocolate for the doves, then regular chocolate for the rest. Let's see if it turns out!

I made some fudge last weekend that we're still feeding off of!! It's that Nestle choc chip one!! The kids love it.....and so do I!!:smooth: :bounce:

I've done choc. covered pretzels, orange, raspbrerry, lemon and caramel filled chocolates and then also did some with crisped rice, coconut and heath pieces. I love to make/eat chocolate.

I am going to make hard tack and microwave peanut brittle with my students. I will probably make some chocolate mold candy as well.

I need a really good, easy fudge recipe. Does anyone have one they would like to share?

My daughter (24-married) and I like to get together for an afternoon or an evening of candy making just before the holidays. We use different molds, different colors of chocolates, and make cute little Santas, snowmen, angels, chocolate covered cherries, etc. It's a great way to spend time together. :)

I don't know what it is called but.........

I melt some good white chocolate, crush up some peppermint candy canes and sprinkle it in the white chocolate. Let it get hard and break into pieces. My DD's (11,6,4) love making this!!! And eating it too!

I could use an easy fudge recipe too. My grandmother used to (probably still does) make incredible fudge, but I don't speak to her anymore....(don't go there....)

Has anyone made the fudge on the back of the fluff container???

The only candy I make for Christmas is home made Caramels and sometimes chocolate covered cherries. My cherries never turn out as good as DSIL's though, so I usually stick to the caramels and she does the cherries!

I make chocolate cups with and without peanuts. DS & DH don't like peanuts in theirs. Very easy and will last in the fridge a long time. If there not eaten first!!:D ;) Then I do the usual Christmas cookie thing and that's it. To much stuff and I just end up eating it after the holidays....not a good thing!!!;)

I melt some good white chocolate, crush up some peppermint candy canes and sprinkle it in the white chocolate.

Peppermint bark...it's a big favorite in my house, too!

I'm making peppermint bark and assorted flavors of truffles. I stick with the easy candies because I have more experience eating them than making them :)

I make chocolate candy bowls to fill my cookies with and give as gifts. It's a simple process I learned on television some years ago.

You melt some chocolate chips or melts, let it cool a bit, then blow up a balloon, and roll it in the chocolate about halfway, in the shape of a bowl. Set the balloon on some waxed paper and put in the fridge.

After about a couple of hours, I let it sit overnight much to my son's chagrin, here comes the fun part, you POP the balloon and pull it off the chilled chocolate and VOILA you have a chocolate bowl! That way you get to get the packaging, too! :p People LOVE it!

Anyone know how to make a diabetic fudge? My Dad is visiting and I would love to make him some fudge or peanut brittle.

I a making soft carmels filled chocolates, chocolate covered cherries, I think I will try some other soft centers this year but am not sure what yet, will do SF chocolate for the FAther in law, and will of course do chocolate covered pretzels and probably some fudge.

Chocolate chip cookies! It's a Christmas tradition for us to make cookies and give them to friends, family and neighbors. I can't wait to start baking! :)
