Are you loyal to one grocery store?

I live in HEB Country with occasional jaunts to Randalls (Safeway) and Trader Joes.
There are not a lot of options here in central Texas but we do also visit Costco frequently however, I don't consider Costco a "grocery store".

HEB is my main grocery store I shop at too. For quick things I’ll pop into Randall’s or sprouts. Warehouse I prefer Costco but we go to sams club as well.

I feel somewhat obligated to support all of them! For a while our town was down to ONE full line grocery store. (We have a Costco, a Trader Joe's - both of which serve the whole county - and a partial grocery store at Target, but only the one "supermarket" in our town) The lines were awful. It was just crazy, especially near holidays. You could barely get through the aisles because the checkout lines were so long. Then Covid hit and you can imagine! Because of that, I feel quite loyal to that store but also know that the new stores (another full line grocery store and another specialty market) that have opened need to do well or we'll be right back in the same boat.

The Mart of Walls is so close to me, it's my Mainstay. (Poster's Commentary: I decided to capitalize that word and make it a deliberate pun, because, as you know, Mainstays is one of Wally World's own brands. If our job as posters is to inform and opine, puns are a great tool to entertain as well. Try one today!)

An Aldi's has recently been opened nearby, and it's not bad if you're solely after food. I was surprised by how much better their burgers looked and were prepped compared to Walmart's. And folks in my Hummus thread reported that Aldi's sells a great Hummus, which I must try.

Pretty much- Meijer

bulk items at Costco which is almost all dry goods

a few things elsewhere when the price (sale) is too good to pass

Oh heck no. I shop loss leaders at Albertson's and Fred Meyer, buy my regular stuff at Walmart and Winco, buy a lot of meat and a few other items from Costco, use a fishmonger, a meat market, the various produce stands, and also do a lot of mail order for our shopping. Not to mention the Asian store in my town, and H-Mart or Uwajimaya when I go to the big city.

Edit--I've seen a couple posts saying Walmart produce sucks, and I agree. They lack variety, and half the time, it's not very good quality--a problem if you do curbside pickup like I do. I try to avoid them for produce, though I still take my chances sometimes.

Also, Whole Foods for a few items (only grocery store in town with Diamond Crystal Kosher salt), a restaurant supply store, and Trader Joes about once a year.

Yes, the Aldi hummus is very, very good and very reasonably priced. I always pick some up when I go. I think you'll enjoy it if you give it a shot, especially for the price.

Grocery Outlet The 2 near me have good produce and meat. The only thing that I do not like is lack of curbside pick up.

Not really. I try to pick whichever store will have everything I need at once.

Shoprite is usually my main store. stop and shop is second.
I also shop at Walmart, Target, Aldi, and Costco. DD18 works next door to a Whole Foods so sometimes she’ll pick up a few things for me there I can’t elsewhere. We also have a Big Y but it always seems super expensive to me. I only run in if DD5 has dance class since it’s next door.
