no....never tried....but if you read an news article a few days ago from Oregon on the santiam river, canoesist are in trouble because of abnormal river runs. We had wood river drift boats design for dangerous waters that we purchased to float down the very dangerous Middle fork of the salmon river....River of no return...so we used those wood boats for rapids.

bad.....have not had good water in 10 years to wash a car....Keizer oregon and yuma have very bad water for leaving spots...car wash blues

I have been very comfortable in water, I have a good gag reflex, as a child swam in Colorado River, local valley drainage creek as a teen in Oregon and in the army our barricks has its own pool, so everyday before lunch during the summer. But if the pool has a roof, not so much inclined.
