I can always pick out a celebrity voice in a commercial. An ad for pick up trucks just came on and it is Clancy Brown. I'm sure there is probably some website out there where I could verify but I'm not sure. IMDB doesn't seem to have commercial info. Am I weird?

Yup, I've driven myself nuts trying to identify a voice.

Oh, and Imdb does show commercial work under "Biographical - Other Works". It's won me a few bets with my DH.

No you are not weird. I am good at voices too. I guess it comes from answering phones on the job for so many years.

My wife and I also consider ourselves pretty good at picking them out.

It likely was Clancy. The guy's voice is very popular and he has done many commercials.

Whenever I see or hear Clancy Brown I think "No more Karat-ay, you should be making me mon-ay, with your spatu-lay!".

My mom is good at this and it drives me nuts. She knows movies, actors, etc and I don't.

A commercial will be on, and all of the sudden she'll say, "That's so and so."

I'm like, "I don't care." LOL

I tend to think they are just unknown voiceover people because I don't recognize the voices.

I know people better by sight not sound.

My DH but he works with a lot of voice over guys so he names all the ones who just voice talent. It's annoying!
