Are you given maps there?????

Are you given any type of maps or information package when you arrive at Disney? We are staying at the Poly, do they give out any info package? Or should I buy something before going?

There's a multitude of maps at the front desk you can pick up.

You can also go to disney's website and log in you can make your own custom maps which include everything in the parks or just select attractions. We did this for our original Dec trip. We had to move our dates up but it really worked out good they are really nice and personalized with your family name.

We'd been to Another Park (TM) and we were given maps on entry to the park, and you could only get them at that entry.

We got to WDW, and I forgot to get maps at the resort. Then I forgot to get one on the way in to MK.

We were in Fantasyland, and I approached a cast member and said, "I think I know the answer, but I'll ask anyway. Are park maps available only on Main Street?" To my surprise, she pointed out the maps not ten feet away at the nearest souvenir stand! I was so surprised to learn that you can get park maps at just about every store or souvenir stand in every park!

Just another way Disney takes away all the worries.

Yes Poly will give you a nice little pile of hotel and park info. Read the park info for the specific week just to make sure nothing has changed, EMH hours or just park hours. We get in so late we don't usually go to the park the night, we go over at have dinner at Chef Mickey's and then watch fireworks from somewhere and then pack to hotel. After I get all comfy in bed I will pick up the pile and read everything, it adds to the excitment for the next day. Once in the park you will either be given a park map from a CM standing near the front, on the sides of the wall while going thru the tunnel(under the train), or you can grab one by the register at any gift shop or stand, I'm not sure about the ice cream/drink carts. Glad to hear the resorts give them out. I've got no time to stop for maps when I'm getting ready to rush at the rope drop.

We got maps at checkin and also a schedule of the early and late opening of the parks.
