Trying to decide on if we should do the Very Merry - Budgets are tight and I might be able to squeeze it, but I thought I would ask - do you think it is worth the extra?

I did it last year and loved it!! To me, it was well worth it. :goodvibes

I didn't really think it was worth it for me, but we have season passes so we go to WDW a lot. We got hot chocolate and cookies, but other than that it wasn't that much different than any other night in the park (then again, we're not big parade or show people) I'm glad I went once, but I didn't like it near as much as the Halloween party.

We've done it 3 times and probably won't again (unless we're taking someone new). You get the same "feeling" of Christmas just being at MK during EMH. MVMCP is usually very crowded (we go during the middle of the week as I here the weekends are PACKED). We're not parade/show people so we'd basically go just to be able to ride rides as they don't offer very many EMH nights at MK while MVMCP is going on and my favorite time being at MK is during the nightime anyways. I would say everyone should experience it for themselves once but if my budget was tight I'd opt out (of course I can say that having already been ;) ).

We did it in 2001 and DH & I are going again next month.

If you want to see the Christmas parade, you can catch it at the MVMCP. In fact, they do it twice for each party. Plus, that will be the only way to see Wishes in the park those nights.

There are special holiday shows that you won't see during the day and character meet & greets with the characters in their holiday attire. Free cookies and hot chocolate at special locations and special MVMCP party merchandise that cannot be purchased otherwise.

If you go, I suggest doing it on a "non-park" day. That way you can save a day on your passes for another time. Your MVMCP ticket is good for admission beginning at 4 pm even though the party doesn't begin until 7 pm.

We have done it about 3 times already and this year dh says he doesnt want to do it. Its only going to be me and him and not the ds this trip. It depends what you want out of it and if you think its worth it. The extra stuff would be the parade, pictures with special characters, dance party, fireworks, other shows. If you focus on that stuff more than just riding rides, which you could do on a normal park day, then it might be worth it to you etc. We always stuck to the same schedule each year which I found maximized what we wanted to do etc, and saved the rides for last which you could cover alot at the end since most younger kids are sleeping in strollers etc, by then and alot of people leave before the night is over etc. We would have early dinner, never eat during the party, waste of time, then see the lst show in tommorrowland, get hot chocolate and cookies, pick parade spot, watch castle show before parade starts, etc.

I'm going the first week in December and plan to go on 12/3. We're only there for 4 full days and none of the parks are open really late that week. We're doing it to get an extra "day" at MK.

We love it but we do not go each year. We are planning to go again this year but I am very disappointed to see that Mickey's Night Before Christmas will be no more because the threater is gone. That was my favorite part.

We did it last year for the first time and although it was definitely a good time, the park was packed and I doubt that we'd spend the extra money to do it again unless we had tons of extra spending money. Seeing the park all decorated for Christmas was awesome though. I really hope we'll be able to go back over the holidays sometime in the future, its so beautiful!

I thought the theater was gone! We were just at MNSSHP ... and I asked my mom if that was where the theater was. Hmm ... how sad. We LOVED that show, and my four year old still talks about it.

We've done it several years and will be there in 41 days (not that I am counting!;)). We love it! We've been on sold out days several times and never has it been a problem with crowds unless we wanted to be on a vacant Main Street at the end of the night. We've been on the attractions and walked on, including SM, and the dance parties are a blast for the teens. Actually, they have so much fun, then tell their friends, then the friends beg to go so on this trip, I am taking 7 teens!! :scared1: It will be a blast just like all the past years, I'm sure. We love to take in the atmosphere of it all so missing one part of it won't make it or break it for us. We just want the experience of it and to see Santa as he comes down Main Street at the end of the parade.:cloud9:
