If someone is speaking, and you find their eye brows & lip color to be off or much darker than what they usually look like, do you find it difficult to concentrate on what they are saying?

Sort of like if they had something stuck in their teeth or a little something hanging out their nose.

I do.

People probably have that problem with me. the outside of my eyebrows are so thin they are practically non-existent. Not from overplucking or anything, thats just the way they are. I have tried TONS of different colors for filling them in and have found some that are close but none that are perfect. If it bothers them so much then I'd probably prefer they just keep moving and don't bother talking to me if they're that petty.

I finally had to tell a "friend" that she needed to stop drawing full brows onto her eyes with a color that is far from natural. It wasn't one of those thin lines. It was full-on eyebrows.

I get distracted when people draw on their eyebrows. I can't help but stare.

I have the same thin ended eyebrows and I just leave them that way. I figure anything I try to do to them is just going to make them stand out and look worse.

If the color doesn't match the eyebrow or the end result is darker than the hair on your head, its the wrong color.

Well thats great for you. I don't like to leave mine that way however. I think it looks far more freakish than my SLIGHTLY off pencil color. I have my photo taken a fair amount and I can't stand for it to look like I only have half eyebrows. The only way anyone can tell with mine is if they are right up close. And if that bothers them, then they can bugger off. :thumbsup2

here's a sample of my eyebrows. I think they look great :goodvibes

You don't do the whole freakish thing with yours. Some older women do a whole scary too huge of an arch thing with theirs.

LOL heehee hooray for not looking freakish!

They are definitely drawn on though and I am aware that in person the color isn't 100% perfect, but it's close. Only up close one on one can you really tell it's a little off, so ya know, I don't sweat it.

Your eyebrows look good. I think she is talking about people like my great-aunt, who used to shave her eyebrows, and draw a semicircle-like arch in black over her eyes. She looked like a cartoon character. It was distracting.

They look perfect to me!

I use eyebrow powder from The Body Shop. It lasts forever and looks natural.

Clown eyebrows

I'm distracted by dark lip liner when the lipstick is either much lighter, or simply nonexistent puckerup:. Do people do that on purpose ? Or has their lipstick just worn off :confused3? I can't help but stare and wonder.

my husband has back problems and was seeing our chiropractor. He had to go to see a neurosurgeon for a consult. The chiropractor told my husband that this guy is the best. But don't stare at his eyes or eyebrows as he has non. Of course it was all dh could do. Apparently the neuro dr. had gotten eyeliner and eyebrow tattoos to help. .

The outer third of my eyebrows are very thin and light also. Dr. Oz mentioned that this frequently was an indicator of hypothyroidism. I found this interesting and am going to mention it to my dr.

Thread reminds me of the Sienfeld episode with Uncle Leo and Elaine takes him to the doctor and draws his eyebrows on for him. They are so freaky that the doc thinks he is angry.

I was thinking the exact same thing!!!

I was born a blond, and my hair darkened as I got older. When I spent a lot of time in the sun, my hair would lighten. My eyebrows have always been full and dark--think teenage Brooke Shields thick and dark. It made people ask me when I was a teen if I dyed my hair. I didn't.

Of course, not that I'm older, I do dye my hair. The color I like best is just a little bit lighter than my eyebrows, so they really look right together. Plus I pluck my eyebrows more now, so there's less of that dark hair on my face.

I find really glossy lipstick to be a lot more distracting. Some of our local newscasters like that wet look for their lipstick. I can't watch them as it seriously makes me gag.

I find anything odd that people purposefully do to themselves incredibly distracting.

I especially dislike wacky eyebrows, that neon pink lipstick my grandma used to wear, hair dye that has gone pink, REALLY grown out roots, false eyelashes, painful looking piercings and at the top of my list are those ridiculous low cut jeans that make everyone look fat except for girls that are built like pre-pubescent boys.

I guess I'm distracted allot:rotfl:
