Just curious if you miss a dinner adr in the park due to situations with your children, etc...do you get penalized/charged a credit? I have a child with immune system problems and we have to watch her closely. She is so excited about our upcoming September trip! My concern is that if we miss a 7pm dinner reservation because we are tending to her and somehow forget to cancel it, will we be charged credits ...ie..if we ended up going back to the resort to grab cs meal and then realize we have been charged 2 credits per person that night... Can anybobdy advise?

Again, I will make sure we cancel if we know we are going to miss, but I am hung up on knowing the answer to this. Thanks.

Don't know about the credits, but if you have a credit card on hold you will be charged a $20 per person fee for not showing/not cancelling.

Unless you had to use a CC to reserve the ADR.....you won't be penalized. Even then I'm sure a CM can help you with that if your child is ill.

As stated, unless you actually gave a CC# at the time of the ADR, there will be no penalty. Now, with that said, if you DID give a CC# and dont cancel within the window (think it's usually 24 hours) they COULD charge you, after all, that's why they take the CC#. It wouldnt matter the reason. Now, honestly, if you are proactive, and realize that at 5:30 or 6pm that you arent going to make it to your ADR, please try to contact the guest services somewhere, and explain to them, and I would guess in 99% of the times, they would make sure that you werent charged. Of course, if you didnt give a CC, it's also polite to call as soon as you know you couldnt make it. Even though your magic right then wasnt working totally for you, you could make magic for someone else that was looking for a place to eat :) And good deeds are usually repaid IMO. :wizard:

I don't know if it would help or make a difference, but it may be a good idea to have it noted on your reservation that you have a child with health issues, if you haven't done so.

plus there are some meals that you would pay full price for. but again you would have given your credit card and they would have told you over the phone. for instance, HDDR would be one.
but no, they would never take credits off your card for any reason.
