Are YOU arriving Aug. 26th???

Count us in 08/26 to 09/01 WL...not on free ddp though...I had already booked the premium package before I found out about free DDP:sad1:

It looks like ME will be busy around noon - 1 pm that day. We arrive at noon and hope to be to the resort by 1:30...have ADR's at MGM at Hollywood & Vine w/ Fantasmic at 4:30.

I can't wait:banana:

I was thinking of a way to tell him.

1st idea- I have a co-worker who is good at making certificates. Thinking of making an invite for him and giving it to him when he wakes up.

2nd idea- If I could get that certificate to a Disney cast member when we get off the plane and hand it to him. That would be priceless. Just have to say we are visiting friends in Orlando and not going to Disney. Of course he will see all the Disney goodies all through the airport so I cannot say we are not in Orlando.

Any suggestions?

We're going Aug 26-Sept 2 - just 20 more sleeps!! We arrive at MCO at 3, so am hoping to check in to ASMo and hen head to the MK. We have ADRs at Crystal Palace for 8 pm, then it's EMH!

Can't wait!!

We'll be at CBR 8/26-8/31. :woohoo:

I will be at the CBR during the same time frame. I will be decorating my window so keep an eye for the marquis "DISBOARDS proudly present......Candikayne. I will be staying the the preferred location, hopefully close to the pool.

Have a magical trip!!! :wizard:

As for the surprise. We will pack while he is asleep. Have my hubby pack the car while he is in the shower. Get dressed and head for the airport. He will question us all the way to LaGuardia. I put JFK but its LaGuardia we are going to. It takes about 20 mins to get there from Manhattan. I just have to make sure to have the camcorder handy to catch his surprise reaction.

My wife and I did that to my DS 8 last year. He was 7 at the time of the trip. We are from New Orleans, so we told him that we were driving to New Orleans. He didn't pay attention to our route because he was busy watching movies and playing the PS2. We stopped at the welcome center in Fla. and said that we had taken another route. Well, he was surprised and confused when we told him to look up and he saw the welocme to WDW sign. He didn't know if it was a joke or what. We caught it on tape and still laughs at his face whenever we watch it. P.S. He knows that we're going this year and he knows when, so we can't pull that again. Almost forgot! We check into Pop on 8/26.

Hi Harlemgirl,

I was thinking the same thing about the P&P party. My girls know they are going to Disney, but the do not know about the party. I wanted to ask the flight attendant to give them two gift packs (that I will make) which include a note from Cinderella and Jack Sparrow inviting them to the party. I could ask DH to slip the packs to the attendant after take off. I ordered some stuffed animals from disneyshopping.com and travel toys from toysrus.com that the girls could play with during my layover in ATL. I will throw some snacks in the pack too (what a shame, can put box juice in the pack, because we can bring liquids into the airport).

Then I was thinking that I could leave it by their pillow, the nite before we leave from Tinkerbell (she's good friends with the tooth fairy. A wake-up surprise....if they get any sleep at all

CBR Aug 26 - Sep 1:woohoo: DH not thrilled about a decorated room so look for my LGMH on my fanny pack. I'll be scanning everyone else's waists looking for DISer's. Hoping for Jamaica, but happy to be anywhere at WDW.

Checking into POR on the 26th staying until Sep. 2nd. We will be arriving from JFK to MCO at around 1:50pm. Should be at the hotel by 3pm. Need to be at Boma for dinner by 6pm. 7 yr old son still doesn't know we are going. HEEHEEHEE:lmao:

I will be arriving a MCO @ 2pm with Dinner the first night at Shutter in the CBR. Not sure if I will be doing the PM EMH. May by jetlagged....maybe to excited to rest :yay: . Will play it by ear. Would like to explore the CBR and take a dip in the pool for the first day. I will ask my DH since he does not get to make any decisions for the rest of the trip (yes I am an undercover Disney Commando....OK everyone time to get up.....yes I know it's 6am!!:rotfl: ) It will give him some measure of control regarding the beginning of our magical trip!

Well it will either be DTD or MK but I have a feeling it will be DTD and Disney Quest. They love that place. This year we will be playing it by ear. Doing Typhoon Lagoon this year.

ME...ME....ME!!!!

I'm checking into POP on 8/26 with my mother and sister!!! I am scheduled to arrive in Orlando around 10:30 AM. Mom and Jen are scheduled to land around 3:00 PM. I am soooooo excited. Only 19 days and 6 1/2 hours until I leave for the airport!!! :dance3:

:ccat: :donald: :sulley: :tigger: :simba: :stitch: :dumbo: :figment: :goofy: :mickeyjum

DH and I surprised the kids in January with a quick trip to Disney. DD5 had been with us when she was 5 months old, but DS12 (now 13) had never been. We made it all the way into the Epcot parking lot before DS knew we were in Disney. They had no clue we were going anywhere. Thankfully, DD can't read yet. :rotfl: DS knew something was up but I think he was afraid to ask. We stopped in Nashville to see my father. DS hadn't seen him in almost 4 years. He thought that was the only thing we were doing.

The morning we left Nashville, we told the kids we were officially on vacation. It was our first vaction ever. DS was told he could not ask where we were going - it was an adventure. Once we were in FL, he saw all of the signs for Disney, Universal, etc. We told them we were just in FL to relax and were not going to any parks, because we couldn't afford it.

We made it all the way into Epcot's parking lot - and were parking - before DS realized we were going to Disney!! His face and reaction was priceless. It was funny when we pulled in. Spaceship Earth was on our right. DS sits behind the driver's seat and DD sits behind the passenger seat. When we pulled into Epcot and saw SE, we said, "Hey, what's that?" DS was looking out the driver side and said, "Uh.....trees.....woods." DD said, "I don't know for sure, but I see a Mickey hand!!" :lmao: DS then saw it and said, "We in Epcot? We're in Epcot??? WE'RE IN EPCOT!!!!!!!" It was very cool.

We surprised them the entire week. We didn't let them know ahead of time what the next day's activities would be. I'm glad we didn't, because DD ended up with an ear infection and we had to take her to the doctor the day I had planned for us to hit MK. We visited MK, EPCOT AND Universal Studios. Then, after Orlando, we headed to Tampa to visit DH's brothers and their wife/girlfriend. We were there for all of us to watch the Super Bowl together.

It was a great week and I am so happy with how we did it. Of course, we decided a week and a half before we left to go to FL, so I didn't have too long to keep the secret. Any longer and I would have busted!!! :yay:

So, yes - back to the original question - three crazy women will be checking into POP on 8/26!!!! :dance3:

I got decals for the window (DH does not know about the decorated window) I got the mickey green paint samples. Maybe I will attach those to my stroller and baby bag. Keep and eye out for me as I too will be at the CBR during the same period. Read my siggie and maybe you can pick me out by the pool (two princesses and a pirate). My oldest son pirate: has a football game and practice during this visit (high school line backer :woohoo: he can't miss the game) so he won't be with us this trip.

we'll be at CBR 27th-30th!

This is our first trip, and we're also surprising the kids. They know we're going on a road trip to Florida, and they're excited about the beach ;)

The other day, my dd asked me if we could go to Disneyland. I just said "I'm sorry, sweetie, but Disneyland is in California and we can't drive all the way out there!"

heh-heh-heh

I cannot wait to see their faces when we drive up!

We'll be at POFQ Aug 26 - Sept 1! :cool1: :cool1: I can't wait, I've got Disney on the brain 24/7 now! :lmao:

:cheer2: Woo Hoo!!!!:cheer2:

These last 20 days had better pass quickly because it's just about all I think about, night and day!!!! :sad2:

We Arrive on Aug. 25th and then start free dinning on Aug. 26st untill sept. 1. Have a great vacation!

My flight leaves from JFK at 11:15 and arrives at MCO at 1:50. After dinner on the first night we usually go to DTD and hit Disney Quest. I will make the suggestion of the MK but its up to hubby and son. We don't leave until 8:30pm on the 2nd so I am not sure what we will be doing on that day.

Its so much fun trying to keep this secret. I hear from my son about every other day that he wants to go to Disney World. I was laughing this morning because he was watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I laughing to myself while he is singing. I had to stop for a moment, he just came to the computer while I am writing this. He knows that Disney is in Florida but I am not sure if he knows its in Orlando. But when we get to the airport, I am sure he will figure it out because there may be so many kids on the plane talking about it. We will play the surprise by ear.

Don't be too sure....2 years ago we surprised our kids with a Disney cruise and told them that we were going with daddy to a seminar. We got in a day early and stayed at a hotel by the airport and my ds even said as we got OFF the plane...I wish we were in Florida :) The overhead speakers were blaring "Welcome to Orlando, the temp is .....". He had NO IDEA where we were! We kept them in the dark until the next morning before we headed back to the airport to catch the Disney bus to the boat....that was an awesome experiance! Unfortunetly when we did have to go to a seminar a couple months after that he was sure we were on our way to disney again :)
