Are you allowed to take pictures at Spirit of Aloha?

I know we have pictures of it from the two times we went before it was Spirit of Aloha. Not too sure if we have any from after the change, but I'm 99.9% sure you can take pictures. Not sure why you couldn't now if you could then

Oooh - very cool. I have a wonderful surprise for my soon to be husband and I wanted to make sure that I could take a picture of the look one his face and the surprise...

Glad I could help! Don't know if you know or not (by your suprise I'd say you do) but to be safe- They always ask if it's anyone's birthday (then everyone sings happy birthday) and anyone's anniversary or other "special occasion." Make sure to get there early too, to the prestage area, not sure about the last time we were there, but there used to be a woman with a BUNCH of tropical flowers that she would give on a first-come-first-serve basis and attach them to the women's head depending on their status... One side would mean they're single and the other taken. Granted this was at least a year and half BEFORE the switch over, but who knows, couldn't hurt. It's so pretty in the area too, great for pictures.

I've found that you can take pictures generally, if you don't use flash. I don't really think they care about pictures ( except in the tunnels ) but they care about ruining the illusion.

They actually have a Disney photographer to take pictures before you are seated. They come around while you are eating to show you the picture packages and to see if you want to buy them. The Disney pictures are some of the best group shots we have from our different trips. They give out leis to everyone. We have hundreds of pictures from the Luah. I just can't get enough of that fire twirler guy! Enjoy and congratulations!

Do you think they would take a picture of us at our table? I've only been to Disney World once before and I can't remember how they do things at the Dinners.

They have a little area with a sign that you stand behind to take the photo. You could ask the waiter or some one sitting near you to take a picture. When you arrive at the luah cove they give you a lei and then they send you down a walkway. There is usually a line and they check your name off their list. They then send you over for pictures. After you take your picture you go to the luah building and then they seat you.
