Are you allowed to bring a small lunch box into the park?

When our youngest DS was under 3 I brought a little lunch box with his sippy cup and some of his and his brother's favorite snacks (go-gurts, cheese sticks, cut up fruit) packed in it. I never wondered if this was "allowed." I just did it. I wanted to know we had healthy, peanut-free (older DS has a peanut allergy) food readily available. On our next trip our DSs will be 4 and 6 and I would love to bring our lunch box full of safe, healthy food with us again. I am embarassed  that I never checked on the rules the first time; I just didn't think twice about it.

Much thanks! :daisy:

we always bring food into the park. When we stay in our DVC and have a kitchen, I cook up hotdogs and bring rolls. We always have water that we freeze and bring into the park with us. I have always packed DD(2) snacks, drinks, lunches...No one says anything. We have even went to the supermarket and bought lunchmeat and bread and made sandwiches. We go right through security and they see what you are bringing in. I think Disney knows that the majority of people there are going to buy from them and the few of us who do bring stuff in doesn't really hurt them.

It is so much cheaper to bring your own food into the parks. So, pack those lunch boxes and enjoy!

Thanks! :daisy: I am so in the habit of packing them food. I even pack up our lunch boxes when we head to our local mall! I guess with our older DSs allergy it is something we started out of necessity and just kept doing.

Last year I had my son's sippy cup and a nutrigrain bar in my backpack. Security searched my backpack like all others and didn't mention anything, so I think it's fine.

you can even bring in BIG coolers into the park. If you can carry it, you can bring it!

Yup, even coolers, the only stuff you can't bring is weapons and drugs... aww, suchks, there goes my day. ;) lol j/k
