Are you afraid of those exploding biscuit cans?

I am!!! :rotfl2:

I can shoot a gun, but I'm afraid to unroll the paper & open one of those poppin' fresh cans. The pop always scares me. :rotfl:

I had a craving for sausage, gravy & biscuits & got one of those cans. I hadn't opened one in years.

LOL---Yes I am afraid, I always turn my head and close my eyes.

I do too!! Sometimes it won't pop and then I look to see what happened and then it will pop. It scares me so bad.

My mom makes whoever else is readily available open them- she can't handle it! :rotfl:

Those things scare me to death! I always make DH open them for me, and I've got to be in another room before he can even get the can out of the fridge.

And I thought I was the only one......sometimes I even have my DD put the spoon to the seam for me!

sorry to stray OT here but.....when I saw the title I had to laugh..it reminded of the urban legend about the woman who went grocery shopping, put her items in the car, got in the front seat and heard a loud pop (like a gun shot) and then felt this goo on the back of her head and was sitting there holding the back of her head and the boy getting the carts came over and asked if she was okay, and she thought she had been shot in the head and was holding her brains in--when in fact it was one of those cans of biscuits exploded. LOL!!

I stand back as I bang the tube on the counter. Its another phobia along with the damn sleeping bags. It gets to the point where I want to crawl under a rock when DH wants sausage and biscuits. I hate breakfast.

Not too much but I do believe hangers are against me! :furious:

Tsk! Tsk! Sacrificing your DD like that. :rotfl2:

I am so glad I am not alone!! Is this the support group?? I would like to join!

I took one of those biscuit cans in the chest a few years ago and I can tell you that is worse than the pop!!

The tube popped and as it did it flew out of my hands right into my chest! Hurt like heck!

My DH says I should be over the whole biscuit fiasco by now but every time he NEEDS his Flaky layers, the horror of that day returns :guilty:

I won't even let my kids be near me when I need to open one of those things!

The worst is when you pull the tear strip and it doesn't expose the seam all the way and you have to poke around with the darn spoon.

That is so funny! :rotfl: I really have thought for years that I was the only nutty person who was scared of opening a can of biscuits. I will call my DS from wherever he is in the house to open the darn things for me.

Great TAG!!!!

It always scares me, too- and I always make rolls with supper so I have to open them everyday!! :faint:

I haven't opened one of those cans in about 10 years. I make all our biscuits and cinnamon rolls. I didn't like those cans growing up though.

Thank God my ds13 likes to open them. When he does, it's all I can do to not hit the floor screaming when it pops!! Like it's a hand grenade or something!

I LOVED those cans... just mad that they make them auto-pop now though. Fond memories of fighting with my brother over who gets to press the spoon on the seam.
